I posted this in the free-for-all forum, but it really should have been here in the first place.

I'm just really bummed out, and need some replys.
I'm on a beta-blocker, because my heart has an abnormally fast beat. Without my medicine now I get shakey, and sick, but before I was on it, before I had this problem, I was so different mentally. My creative energy is scarce, I mean, I still have it, but it can't even begin to compare to how I used to be. I feel so tired all of the time. I used to be heavy into philosophy, and science, and pshycology...but I feel so tired, and spaced out that my brain can't function the way it used to. I feel like I've been robbed. I'm just totally different mentally, and I hate it. Does anybody know any natural alternatives that I could try? Please help me, I'm just not living to my full potential. It's horrible to have had it, then lost it.
Now I think I know why all the crazies don't like to take their medication.

battle of evermore, hi

i can relate a lot to how you feel about medications reducing your true self and being all destructive, those damn side effects. and the doctors doesnt mention those alot when giving them to you.
im sure most of them dont even know the true impact the medication has on peoples soul.
to them its all "work" "science" etc..
how long have you been on these beta blockers?
if you stop taking them suddenly, then i guess you would experience shaking hands and
alot of other uncomfy things.
and maybe u shouldnt stop just like that, but reduce it little by little and then u are off them?! i dunno, u should talk to ure doctor about that perhaps..
but why is it that you have a fast beating heart? and what happens to you physicly when so, i mean, is it something in you or your past that makes ure body react like that
something psychological?
do u smoke? drink? excersise?
i have used beta blockers some in the past, and every time i took them, i felt very weak somehow, i dunno, like, my blood pressure would be very low and i would get dissy and more receptive to a state of mind that was like smoking pot and feeling very uncomfy.
i didnt like it at all, i got full of anxiety.
an alternative to it, well it depends on alot of things though.
why do u use it and why cant u stop?
the pain of stopping will go away after a while even though its unbearable at first, but talk with ure doctor about it.
i know, its hell when you feel like you say, you cant think the way you used to and not being creative.
i dont know, beta blockers has many side effects, and since it affects your heart and heartbeats and blood, well, its only natural to believe that it means that it will change alot of your life energy.
its not healthy, you should really quit it.
do u really need to be medicated at all?

Hi, thank you both for replying!
Anita~ I only wish I could get off of it, but my heart rate goes up to like 170 if I am, so my tachycardia is dangerous if I'm not taking it. I'm just looking for something so I can lower my dosage. You described it about right though, I feel like I'm on pot!
I don't drink, or smoke, I'm not stressed, or overweight, I also excercise some. I'm pretty health contious. That's why doctors don't know what causes tachycardia in people.

Ah, im sorry to hear that you live in that kind of condition, that your heart will beat that fast no matter what and for no explanation if not using those bblockers.
but how much do you take every day?
i took very little the times i took it, like
10 mg if feeling stressed out, and it did calm me down as intended. but that was a very small dose, im sure you can take less than you do now and experience less side effects.
my mom has been taking them for years when she is stressed, also very small dose, and she doesnt seem to have any side effects at all, she is all energetic and creative 24/7, so i dunno, people react very different.
but it does suck tho =( i hope you can talk to your doctor about taking a much lower dose and feel better than u do now

Any conditions related to the heart, I believe, are to do with letting in and the giving of love. Louise Hay is a good person to read, I am sure most of you guys have read her stuff. She believes that all physical conditions are related to the mental and spiritual aspects of the self!

My Virgo hubbie used to get a lot of heart palpatations as a kid and young man - they have started to go - he gets a lot of love now, he didnt used to, makes sense doesnt it. I used to get a lot of sore throats and couldnt sing, the words would get stuck in my throat. BUT since I have spoken my truth, I rarely get throat probs.

I just think its worth thinking about and that is why, for me, therpay and healing have proved life altering!

Love to all

Hi Sue,

I completely agree with you. Everytime I want to say something and don't because I don't want a showdown, my throat starts to itch. After I've had my say, it's fine.

And about your husband.....exactly the same case with my dad. He had a heart problem that's completely gone away now that he has ma and us to show him how special he is...he didn't have an easy time growing up.

Recently I have been asking my body to speak to me about why my lower back has been troubling me. It's reacting brilliantly to acupuncture, but I haven't been able to figure out why it's there at all...the explanation in Lousie Hay's book doesn't seem to hold true for me, though most of the others are BANG on! Hopefully, my back will communicate with me soon.

Hi Sunshyne,

I came in with (born with) a bad back, but didnt know that till I was in my 40s!

I have a condition called spina bifida occulta, its not serious, just that when I was born I had a small piece of my spine missing.

Anyway I went to a reiki healer who told me in a past life I was stretched on the rack (ouch)! for being a witch - makes perfect sense to me.

I am beginning to believe, after meeting some really cool people, that we do actually come in with stuff that we can heal or at least get an understanding of. It can stop one from worrying too much if we can determine why out body hurts at times!

Love to all

Hi Sue,

I have actually considered the same thing. I have read about people with chronic conditions that have healed completely after past life regression therapy. I know that is something I will look at seriously if the acupuncture doesn't work completely.

That reiki healer story is amazing...so do you suffer any back pain at all because of your condition?

Battle of Evermore.

I have posted this elsewhere.
But PLEASE give it a decent try !!

Whenever laying down, especially when getting anxious, and before sleeping..

On your back. Left hand on bare skin over solar plexus. Right on skin between breast.

Breath slowly, feel the warmth, and enjoy.

When you have become convinced do some research about the Pericardium meridian which flows through the palms. It is te heart protector!

You have nothing to loose and everything to gain.
