Has anyone tried it? I've been certified in Ear Coning, and it has such wonderful benefits. You don't have to go through all those unnecessary doctor appointments, and you don't have to get tubes put in your ears. Just get an ear coning. It can treat most ear ailments such as tinitus, swimmer's ear, excessive ear wax, and ear aches. Just go to your local massage therapist for treatment. -StarLover

Hi Starlover, how are you? We had a discussion about this on LL once, I'll see if I can find the thread for you. I have tried them with little benefit, and I am unconvinced about their abilities. IP: Logged |

Usually, you need more than one ear coning in each ear. About 3 to 5 is the average. You also need to make sure that your sessions are more than 4 days apart. Some people need them every week, others need them every month, and other people need them just once a year. In your case, you needed much more than just one session. A man I know automatically schedules 3 sessions for his clients per visit. Persistance pays! Also if it was a serious issue always check with your doctor. Ear coning can also clear your chakras, and if you set the intention can increase your psychic ability. Not only that, but you get to see the yeast and wax pulled out of your ear.-StarLover IP: Logged |

Do I now? StarLover, you've no idea what I need, nor do you know my experiments with ear candles! I 'discovered' them about 12 years ago, and I have used many over those years. I have cut them open after use to see the muck in there, but remain unconvinced that the muck is anything but melted wax. This is not just my opinion, however; there is much research refuting the claim that ear candles are capable of creating a vacuum in the ear. I would respectfully suggest you read this string: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/000881.html
quote: Why Candling Can't Work Since wax is sticky, the negative pressure needed to pull wax from the canal would have to be so powerful that it would rupture the eardrum in the process. However, candling produces no vacuum. Researchers who measured the pressure during candling of ear models found that no negative pressure was created. The same investigators candled eight ears and found that no ear wax was removed and candle wax was actually deposited in some of them! [3]

It really seems rather silly to me. It look HILARIOUS. Yes lets shove candles in our ears, right. I can see nothing physicaly that having a hollow candle in your ear would do for you, except for drip wax in there.IP: Logged |

To each his own. Some people swear by them and I happen to agree. -StarLover

Are you two still agreeing to disagree--or disagreeing to agree? ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

Ditto! We live in a world of many flavors and wouldn't it be a shame to stop making spumoni just because most people like chocolate? IP: Logged |

i did it once and SO much earwax came out that i almost thought of making a gag candle out of it. no joke, it was disgusting. i have tried it like twice since then and nothing comes out anymore!! ITS SO DISAPPOINTING! i keep waiting for that HUGE ball of wax to come out so i can laugh at it but there is nothing there. i guess i will wait another 23 years so i can get that much wax again.IP: Logged |
