I see there are a couple of threads about Reiki.I just did my second Reiki session two days ago and I have this dull pain right in between my eyes. Has this ever happened to anyone here after a session? I felt really good after, really clensed and vibrating. And I feel good, just this dull ache. Any ideas as to what it is? The person who did my session told me to "breathe". Uh, duh. But I was wondering what knowflakes here thought! Thanks!

I have one of those now, as I'm typing! I did do the breathing for a few, and the pain lessened. Then I opened my eyes and started to do my work again, but the 'headache' started to come back a few mins later. I noticed if I don't 'connect' at least once a day, I start to get the headaches. I read somewhere that the pain happens because your 3rd eye chakra has become unbalanced. A good night's sleep is the cure I think. I got this type of headache before and went to sleep and *poof* it was gone! I also took some homeopathic medicine today for the headache and it helped decrease it so at least I could get back to my work (btw, it's not a migrane - I'm not one to get those).

The thing is, why would the third eye chakra be unbalanced after a session that is to promote balance? I guess when there is a lot of gunk in there it has to go through a period of change to get used to being able to move! It's funny you mentioned sleep, I slept for 10 hours the other night and my headache is gone! 10 hours like a baby I wonder if now I will feel more intuitive

Glad to hear your headache is gone! So is mine. I'm not sure why the headache actually happens, and I'm only starting to study reiki.

Anyway, sleep is my cure-all for almost everything lol. But it definately works wonders for these types of headaches.

BTW, forgot in the other post, but the homeopathic headache medicine I took is called Natrum Mur 6X. I tried Tylenol but it wasn't working at all though it usually does. But of course these are diff. types of headaches so it needs a diff. type of medicine.
