i love tattoos and piercing. i've heard that piercing are not that great when it comes to chakras and your aura. For some reason since i was a child i have always been attracted to (in a positive way) to those types of body modifications. I can't help it, i've gone for a year or a few months without my lip ring, without dyeing my hair purple or blue, but i just feel weird without them. I feel like i'm not being myself and then i feel like i miss them. I was brought up normal noone was fanatically against piercing or tattoos and i remember speaking to my father at age 8 saying " dad when i grow up i want a tattoo". noone else in school really talked about it. maybe it has to do with my past lives or maybe just because i'm an artist. i remember always drawing on myself. i can't figure it out. if anyone else feels like this or has some insight please let me know. thanks

People have been decorating them selves for eons. I think you should do what you feel. Be aware, how ever, that some of your choices may effect your entire life.

I know where your coming from Aquastar! I myself longed for a tattoo for years. My parents "weren't against them" but also cautioned about the life long decision of a tattoo (although now you can have then removed with a laser, as a very very high price - if you so choose) I too used to draw up designs (or let others draw on me)and down my arms, my legs, around my belly button to give the appearance of a tattoo. I always felt it was carried over from a past life. I love alot about the Native American culture - and often thought i lived that life at one point in time. As soon as i turned 18 though, i was headed ot the Tat shop!! I have a tribal design on my lower back (it was a design that the shop had and i modifed, it reminds me of a bird of sorts, although i've had people say a "horned" something)(I have a pic that was taken a while back - i'll attach it)I've never been much on body piercings, only ear piercings. I have 4 in my left and 3 in my right.

I look horrible, but its a good tat pic.

I so badly want another tat but havent decided What and where. I'd really like to incorporate my sun sign into it some how, with out it being to plain and obvious - hidden kinda. not really sure yet ...

well i have a star on my neck and my lip pierced and i have 2 ear piercing and 2 streched ear piercing. i have already drawn my back tattoo and wrist tattoo. i always follow my instincts thats why my third eye chakra is over active.lol all my tattoos have very special spiritual meaning to me. i don't really like that people just get tatoos for fun, tastes change. all the tatoos i want i've thought about for years. as for my hair color i love different colors i get board with just brown or blonde.

i was just wondering why i have the need for that type of self expression. it feels like some type of journey. it's weird because i feel like on the inside i'm old and traditional but on the outside i'm wild and crazy but, i'm like that too. i'm just a big mix of spirit. lol

Maybe you should post something in Astro and see who has the most piercing and Tats. That would be interesting.

Bluemoon - LoL - ya know. I dont know what it was. Previously it was very V shaped and scrunched together. I had the guy do a few diffrent design changes until i found the one i really liked. The finished product, to me, resembled a bird of sorts. Although i guess it could look like a bat as well. Whats weird is within the middle, after fanninf the center out, it looks like theres a face of sorts in there. !?!?!? kinda weird.

Thats a good idea about posting in the Astro section, maybe theres even more to Aquastars longing for tats and piercings!

Angel of hope~ I like that tattoo, it is beautiful.
What I love about some tattoos is the flow.. like it fits the curves of the body as if it is supposed to be there.
Yours looks as if it fits well.
*scoffs at the idea that it is a bad pic. It isn't a bad pic...... but I have seen your photos in the LL photoshop, so I already know you're a hottie.
I am toying with the idea of embellishing the one I got a few years ago on my lower back ( of a pixie, what else) Here's a drawing of the original, before she modified it to fit on my skin....

It's big and traced over, but you get the gist....

Aquastar~ there were a few threads from before, in the astro forum, you can always do a search, and bump them if you'd like!

Pixie - Thanks for that!! LoL that pic above des no justice for me!! Yes my pics in LL photoshop are much better. Although i dont think there are many of ME in there, i'm so selfconscious of being photographed. The one above, my hunny was messing around with the camera while i was cleaning the house and he decided to start taking pictures. LoL ... and of course he found my Cow Girl hat ... LoL ... but i saved it due to the tat pic. And just so happens it came in handy! LoL ...

I REALLY like that pixie, Pixie!! I'm assuming you drew that. She's beautiful. And from the pics i saw of you, she resonates with you well. I think i what i like best is the pose. The way shes sitting there. Almost as if shes ready to leap off and fly away! So are thinking of adding to her? or around her?

Ya know i was thinking about it, and i think i do remember posts on tats/peircings in Astro as well. I remember posting in there ...

Cool, Pix. I also think that ritual scaring is need looking, and branding. But I dont know about the pain threshold. Just a small blue moon for me, thanks. I am suppose to go with my son and get matching ones.
