I had to get a TB test for my new job as the media director for a local daycare. IT CAME BACK POSITIVE!! I went for a chest X-ray today. I can't work until they figure out what is up.

Don't worry Blue, my dad has NEVER had a negative TB test. Some people just always test positive. I'm sure you are fine.

Hopefully it's just a Granuloma.

Jase has one of those - he shall test positive for TB for ever and ever, Amen.

Thanks for all of your responses. I will not know about the X-ray until after noon. So I wait impatiently. My son, who is a nurse, Has been very informative. I cannot go to work until I get the all clear. I will test postive forever now also. If you have one postive test all your future test will be postive. Thanks again!

and Stacey, chin up girl! A cat would do wonders for you. I have 4.

Testing postive once and then forever testing postive is not always true.

I always tested negative, unitl JR high, when i had a test come back positive. When they sent me to a doc for the next step in the testing phase - i came back negative. After that i learned my sister was the same way with these tests. Apperantly the test given in school (the lil pricks) are a simple lil test, where if that comes back postive they require you to have furhter tests done, in which the doctors can 'for sure" tell that you have TB. Mine was a case of overly sensitive skin. (i can cross my legs, uncross them and where my skin from both legs touched, it swells - its very strange, guess my aunt had the same problem as a child, but has grown outta it since - i can go outside for a couple minutes in the cold weather (not even 'that' cold) and come back in, my hands (or any skin unprotected) will break out in lil hives which eventually spread together to where my hands are all swelled up and after about and hour or so they are normal) ... so it may be something like that as well.

Anywho, hope everything turns out for the best for you! Wishing you luck!!

Love and Light!!

The resualts are in! I am not contagious. I do have to be treated for whatever caused the positive reaction, but at least I can go back to work! I am sooooo Relived!!
