My Grandmother (the Aqua Sun/Taurus Moon/Cappie Asc one) who's been battling lung cancer (and doing so well, the doctors say) had a heart attack last night.

She survived because she was in the hospital - my mother had brought her there because of chest pains. They had thought it related to her lungs as she has no history of heart problems in her immediate family.
They say that it's because something about the treatment had clogged up her arteries.

Please have her in your thoughts.

Heya -

I'm posting from my BIL's comp, so this'll be quick.
My Gma had another heart attack, which resulted in her being moved to FFx Hospital's Intensive Care Cardiac Unit (which is one of the best in the country). She had an emergency procedure to put a stint in, and she should be getting off of her respirator tomorrow.

I'll update ya'll as I find out more (I'm in B'ham right now, not VA.

My Grandma went to Cardiac Intensive Care and then when transferred to the next rung down - forgot its name, but it means that she's not in as dire straits.

~~~
On another note, my Grandfather (paternal rather than maternal) passed away last night, peacefully and in his sleep.
He was in his mid-nineties and this had been expected for a while.
There will be no ceremony or funeral by his request; he will be cremated and then interred at Arlington National Cemetary.
Because of this and my (maternal) Grandmother's situation, I'll be up in VA for a while. I won't be on the computer much as I'll be helping my paternal Grandmother sort through things and my maternal Grandmother get day-to-day household chores done - so I'll be on here even less than I am now.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
Wow, what a lot for your family to shoulder in a short time. Take care of yourself and do what you need to do for your family. We'll be here when you can come back.
Well, it looks like I'll be sticking around for a couple more days at least...
...my husband's car's something-or-other cracked (manifold? maybe manifold...I dunno) and I can't leave him w/o transportation.
~~~

I talked to my Grandmother (the one who had the heart attacks) today - she's back home and, though weak, is feeling much better.
She says that she doesn't remember most of her time in the hospital, not even when she moved from Mount Vernon to Fairfax.
She mostly talked about a restaurant that she and my Mom went to which she has to bring me when I come up.
(Aqua Sun/Taurus Moon/Cappie-? Asc)
~~~
My Grandmommy (who just lost her husband) is doing well. She says though this was expected (Grandaddy was 93 and in bad health), it's still a shock. She mostly fussed about not having enough room for all the food that her neighbors have brought.
(Leo Sun/Pisces Moon/Virgo-? Asc)
I love them both dearly and hope to get up soon to help them out.
Thank you all again for your thoughts.
