I am physically drained.........

I am so sick right now, and have been all week. I *JUST* got over a cold about three weeks ago.
I have been coughing my lungs out, couldn't sleep last night, had sort of a croupy cough. Everytime I'd be almost asleep, it would sneak up on me and I'd have to cough.
I stayed up all night last monday for work inventory, then again on the weekend, twice. I am neglecting my body.It is rebelling.
I hope I don't lose my job over this, but I had to call in again. I can't see a Doctor as mine quit her practice. ( A very common thing in Canada lately)It's happened to the last three Doctors I have had.
My lungs/stomach muscles/ribs hurt.

I think I will look back at my Saturn return sometime in the distant future, and wonder why I had to go through all these things that are interconnected and yet isolated.

Not much to say really, I just wanted to whine a bit.

This is the hardest time of my life.*and I have been through childbirth twice*

I hope I am better when I come out the other side.

When I'm sick I get angry.
I combine traditional and alternative medicine to beat the disease out of my body. I whine, I swear and make sure everyone can hear me. Sounds egotistical? It helps a lot!

Pix, I have a neat recipe for an expectorant (presuming that's what you need)

Combine 250 ml of honey with 2 round tea spoons of powedered mustard seed. Take a tea spoon full 3 times a day.

Eat, drink warm herbal tea, make sure you body stays warm.

A very good herbal tea for lung problems would be pine needle tea. I'm not sure they sell that in the health food stores though. If you get around to make it - here is the recipe:

quote:
Pluck fresh pine needles from near the tree trunk. (Removing needles from branch tips may impair growth and newer needles contain less tannin.) Do not harvest from trees that have been exposed to chemicals or that are situated near roadway traffic.
Pine tea has a light piney aroma and a refreshing, round flavor. Use about 2 tablespoons pine needles per serving. Rinse needles. Place the needles in a heat-proof container and add boiling water. Cover and infuse for 5 minutes. Strain out and discard the pine needles. Drink hot.

Awww Pixie, sorry your feeling so gross. I often get throat and cough colds! I think it must be my weak spot.
Yins recipe sounds great!! I have never heard of pine needle tea, sounds very interesting!
According to this essential oil list (my new passion!!) Pine Needles are "Invigorating". Sounds like what you need hey!!?

A great one for coughs is Niaouli, heres a recipe (from Aromatherapy for Women)
* 1 drop Niaouli
* 1 teaspoon clear honey
Mix well in a small dish, take small amounts at the first signs of a sore throat.

Oh.. just realised the 'first signs' part!!! Lol! Well it should definatly soothe it anyways.
Ooh, and another thing, this would work very well, is if you could get someone to massage you, its an Immune system stimulant, which would help your body get back on track.
(Theres either a big amount recipe or a small amount? Ill post the smaller amount but if you want the other one say!)

* 1 drop tea tree
* 2 drops lavender
* 1 drop bergamot
* 1 drop sandalwood
In 2 teaspoons of base oil. (Almond, Jojoba oil ect.)

I reckon a massage would really help you as it would make you feel pampered and loved and relaxed!

Ginger is great too, for your throat aswell in a tea. (Warming and stimulating.) Thats qute easy too, just put some ginger in a cup with boiling water, or microwave a cup of water with the ginger in it. You could add some honey if you didnt like the taste!

Really hope you feel much better soon, sending you los of... er.... Love and Light!

Dear Pixie,

I hope you feel better soon. Sorry for butting in with astro advice, but I just thought of something when I was reading your post: you know, maybe the reason is also because Saturn rules Capricorn, the sign in which your Moon is, so maybe this Saturn return affects your emotions all the more, you have a sort of doubly powerful force (natal + transiting Saturn)forcing you to (re)structure your emotions, and if I'm not mistaken, you have a Leo Asc. like me, so perhaps Saturn is the ruler of your 6th house (health), and if that's so, the return indirectly affects your health and your emotions, but the main problems are most probably in the house where your Saturn is.
I'm sorry I have no intelligent health advice to give you, but hang in there, in my experience you don't have much other choice with these things but to wait them out Otherwise, take lots of vitamin C, that always helps me!

SunScorpion.. thanks bebe, you are always so helpful!!! Such a lovely soul you have. I'd love a good massage, just for my aching muscles...

Morgana.. no butting in at all! I don't know what you mean!!!!?

Yes, I agree with you.. My Moon is in Cappy, in my sixth house, and my Saturn Return is in Leo, my first house.. It seems like I'm nothing but sick, as I go through these life altering changes.. it feels destructive, yet I feel optimism under it all.. or rather.. higher than it all.. like I am looking at my life from the perspective of after, and knowing things will be better, no matter what I go through now.
And yes, you are on to something for sure.
I want to be well as I nevigate these troubled waters.. But I guess you can't always choose. Clarity is coming through the fog though.

Thanks!

Hey Pixie

Wow, Saturn's in your 1st - then it's all clear! It is attacking your physical body (1st house) through your health (or rather disease in this case ). I think it is causing you to feel physically all that is bothering you emotionally, in other words, your unresolved or bad feelings are manifesting physically since their carrier (the appropriate word here) is Saturn and it's cleaning, making order in your 1st house, your body. Afterwards I think you'll feel reborn physically as well because of that. You probably also feel or maybe you think you look old and tired now, Saturn does that to you, but it's all in the mind and it will pass. Believe me, life after 30 is much better

Yes I know, destructive but positive - I think it has to do with somehow wanting to destroy all that is bothering you now and welcoming the destruction since it brings you something new, whatever it may be. I know the feeling intimately.

Just hang on. Watch comedies you like and read funny books, whatever makes you laugh - it really helps, if not otherwise, it distracts you

I have another recipe… It’s great for bad coughs and sore throats…

In a mug of boiling water, disolve a teaspoon of honey and add a drop of the following mixture: 2 drops of lavander and 1 drop of clove pure essential oils.

It smells herbally lovely and tastes great!!!

Another one is mixing pure freshly squeezed lemon juice with a teaspoon of honey. Warm it up (bain marie) and gargle with it… My mother used it with us when we were children… Soothing because of the honey and disinfectant because of the lemon juice… and with a high content in Vitamin C…

Get better, sweetie!

Saturn Sq. Sun...I've just come out of that one, so I know how it feels.
Do everything possible to boost your health and well-being. Take it easy, no extreme diets. Do you have any food intolerances? These might be causing a lot of problems. Funnily enough, cow's milk was not cited on a test I had done as being an "allergic" food...neither was soya...yet they are unbelievably high in oestrogen and since I have given them up, most of my hormonal-related problems have disappeared. Plus I don't eat fermented foods, or caffeine, or salt. I do eat a bit of sugar and fruit to hlp kep blood sugar levels up. All the body's systems - blood sugar, thyroid, etc. work in unison and it is a question of finding out what works for you. Most health problems are caused by diet, I am convinced. A good Vitamin C supplement such as those made by Solgar, which are allergy-oriented, should also be a prerequisite for winter.

Try to get to as near a level state emotionally as you can - you will probably be about 50% of the way to good health. I can appreciate how you feel. I had chickenpox last year (perhaps because I suffered an acute bout of depression) and swore it was the last Christmas I would spend in my then home - and I made sure of that, this year.

Use your will to help you gain the strength to recover and the time to think about what you want to do in the future, then go ahead and manifest it.

Pix,
Sorry you are feeling so badly, Another thing to all the wonderful remedies to remember is to make sure you drink planty of fluids, all the herbalteas are good, but make sure plain 'ol water gets in there too. it keeps the secretions thinner and easier to cough out if they are there and keeps you from being dehydrated. That way you don't have any pleursy which can be painful. and the more fluids you drink the lower your fever will be if you are running one. Get plenty of rest, hot baths if no fever and I have an herbal hot pack that I snuggle with that has eucalptys (sp?) in it and other herbs which is really comforting. HOpe you are feeling better soon

Aw, PixelPixie - sorry you're not feeling well.

Something I always do when I feel sick - drink lots of fruit juice! (Cranberry is the best, IMO) Vitamin C and erm... other stuff too.

You know, they've done studies on the healing powers of prayer - I'll keep you in mine, Pix.

Garlic. Lots and Lots of fresh Garlic, or any allium.

Also get a hold of some Mullien and make tea. Natives used it for soothing sore throats, and expectorant.

That Saturn return can be a tricky one. It does make you stronger though, and reborn.

Keep your in my thoughts

To all who are unwell.
There are many well meaning people who will give advice.
But after a lifetime of seeking the source of healing, including 44 years teaching Chinese Arts I know there is often only one solution.

Pixie I am so sorry to hear that saturn is treating you badly. I can feel your tiredness but also your incredible undying strength. I'm sure that you know as well as I do that trials and tribulations only make you stronger, and deep within your soul you welcome these hardships to deeper your connection not only to your own body and soul, but to the essence of existence itself. For is it not scorpios lesson to experience both the greatest joys and the greatest pains? To experience the greatest extremes the human body has to offer. The scorpio experience is truly the most human experience.

For every hardship endured, that core inside you grows more powerful and centered, and your love grows more focused. This period will pass soon, like all things, and you will leave behind you whatever it is you dont' want to bring with you. Remember that saturn return your crystallization as a human being, you will be relatively locked into this mold until age 60. This is why the saturn return is the most difficult of all transists, because to crystallize as the human you need to be, incredible cut backs and sacrfices must be made. Any lessons not yet experienced, that were "scheduled" to be experienced will hit the fan before 30, forcing you to mature into the being that awaits you on the other side. I can't wait for how much more loving and creative (is that possible?) you are going to be.

Love BR

BR, that was beautiful!

Pixie, You are strong, you'll make it through all of this. I had the same feelings as BR. I cant imagine how you'll be, once you break through this trying time. You are going through all of these things to come out better, more beautiful than you already are now (hard to believe ). Try to 'be' in the process - remember that this too shall pass. Bright days are ahead, for sure.

Light and positive energy to you.

I haven't talked much (maybe alluded) about whats going on in my life.. the whole Scorpio/Saturn return/cycles of things that I have no escape from or see and end to.. and it all merged in the murky depression/reformative chaos.....

I have decided to go back to school.

I think.. physiotherapy assistant. I could help people, which is a huge draw, and it requires skills I am strong in.
I was going to go to massage therapy, but chose aesthetics/skin care/treatments.. it is not fulfilling.
I am so excited.
I love new challenges, and I am feeling less than fulfilled in all areas of my life, and I have to be positive.
Here we go!
