I did some research for a couple of friends and found a very interesting site. There are cures for other things there also, and lots of feedback. http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/acid_reflux.html ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." Love the sight Randall. I have some of Cayce's atomodine. I don't want to ingest it so now im painting it on my skin. So far so good. My husb had reflux. I am trying to get him to try the vinegar.IP: Logged |

I have a friend with acid reflux and I asked him if he would mind being a guinea pig and testing out this apple cider vinegar theory a while back. He started doing the apple cider every day while still taking his meds and he has recently gone off the meds to see if it will work for him. I will post again when he tells me if it has worked or not. Love

Thanks for that helpful information Randall. I know someone who has frequent stomach ailments and this may help them.

hmmm...From experience, I've learned that everyone's system is not just alike. I've tried the vinegar, and well, it works for some, but was way to much for my system, even a tablespoon, as it made me very ill, more so than indigestion. So, I'd advise other's to take it in small doses, before you go all out with using it. {just to be on the safe side, since it's not so great to make yourself even worse that you were, before trying to do something to feel better.} Pickle juice does the same thing in making me sicker, rather than in helping. Banana's can be just the thing, for someone like me.

Hi GingerB, I agree with you. I am wondering if people whose bodies are acidic pH count(saliva) of less than 7 must take apple cider at all? There must be some correlation between the two!!

Yes, the cider vinegar is way too much for my system. I can use it in salads but i cannot tolerate drinking it. IP: Logged |

I'm not sure...I do know, that a little bit, of cottage cheese, buttermilk, a banana, or crackers, do better for me than the vinegar. Maybe I'm to full of baking soda. lol! IP: Logged |

I thought I might have had this a few months ago. I equated it to all the coffee I was drinking. I was getting heartburn too, something I've never had a problem with before. Gotta get off the coffee.IP: Logged |

It's best to have that web-like substance in it (called "the mother").------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." Hubby tried the vinegar, but it only worked about as well as Rolaids (only a few minutes of relief). The lemon and lemonade thing makes sense to me... since lemons are so alkaline. Only, I don't have any lemons right now... or pickle juice. I'll have to pick some up for next time. I'm sure he'll have another bout of acid that we can experiment on. IP: Logged |

It seems like a couple of good swallows of freshly-squeezed lemon juice would help a lot. But don't leave it in the mouth at all (bad on the teeth). ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things."
