Keanu's sister Kim has been battling cancer for some time - Keanu posts updates on his Myspace.com page every now and then (and yes it really is Keanu!), which he set up so people could discuss cancer treatments. He said in his latest post that Kim isn't doing too well, so I thought it would be nice to request some healing for her on this forum.

That's cool. Doesn't everyone's family have someone who's had cancer? Both sides of my family have had or currently have it now.

I like how he doesn't consider himself a celebrity or even act like one. Once, his band played on a daytime show (I forget if it was Rosie O''s show, or REgis, or what) and he wore really ratty, old, holey shoes, and didn't behave like a celebrity, just a guy in a band.

Yeah... I like the fact that he set up his page to benefit other people as well as his sister. Unfortunately I think we all do know someone in one way or another who's been affected by cancer (and it's one of the things I think about) so I'm always interested to learn about new approaches.

I watched an interview with Keanu on TV once when he was doing a show with his band, and the interviewer tried to ask him lots of questions about his movies... but he didn't want to talk his life as a 'movie star', only the music he was making with his band.
