For the past month or so, I get a tingling and then burning sensation in my right upper leg (from the knee up). It comes and goes when I am trying to sleep. It helps when I lay on my side instead of my back, but I don't like to sleep on my side. I know my leg is not injured, because I can still stretch and excercise without any pain. Any insight? Please help. IP: Logged |

When i was younger my knees and legs would ache in the late evening hours. Only until i went to sleep would the aches and pains disappear. I took it as a sign that it was my bed time, thinking my knees were telling me to go to bed. I remember telling my mom about it and she just laughed at me ... It hasnt happened in years though. Maybe something pinched ... like a nerve or something. Hmmm, but that wouldnt explain why you feel it in the evening laying in bed .... hmmmmmm ..... IP: Logged |

Could be a nerve thing... in my experience nerve problems are noticeable when lying in bed at night even if I haven't experienced any problem during the day. Could be circulatory? IP: Logged |

Try taking 2,000 IUs of natural d-alpha tocopheral (Vitamin E) with a snack an hour before bed.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." In my experience, I bought an exercise bike...began doing 45 minutes a day and all the night aches stopped.Sometimes the ache in my leg was so uncomfortable that I got up at 1am to do some exercise. Get moving!!! Randall, do you know what about the Vit E that helps? Thanks.

Thanks for the advice sunchild. I actually asked the residential nurse where I work and she said it sounds like poor circulation, so your advice about exercise is correct. IP: Logged |
