Ok I have a real problem with aluminum because I believe that the links to certain neuro muscular diseases are true or at least aluminum should be avoided. Here's he problem, I'm looking for a new set of pots and pans and almost all of them have either an aluminum core or bottom of some sort. Are these safe since they are enclosed inside stainless steel? Should I be concerned about any vapors, etc? IP: Logged |

Expensive...but I love my revereware! Some cheaper pans also have high levels of nickle which I thought was strange. The only thing I have found I also like is enamelware and cast iron. BTW...do not use cast iron or Aluminum for acid foods such as tomotoes. If you use foil, do not use on tomatoes. You will see the tomatoes or high acid foods begin to dissolve the foil. ------------------ Age is a State of Mind. You're welcome Kat Harpyr As long as you ironware is properly seasoned it is ok. But NEVER cook tomatoes in aluminum or copper.------------------ Age is a State of Mind.
