Hello friends,

I'd like to ask if any of you has lost weight with the color diet that Linda Goodman describes in her Star Signs' book.
I have been doing it for 15 days with any result... I haven't dropped a pound or lose an inch... I'm ready to quit...

So please you give me your feedback, so I decide if continuing or aborting this diet... or tell me some tricks to make it work!!!

Thank you!

I did a long time ago(around 10-12 years ago), I remember that though I did not loose weight but I started looking thin. I felt my body was in more shape without doing any exercise. I was doing red light and diet plan including solarized water in red glass.
I turned taller too that time. I am 5"2 in height and any person who see me or saw me during that period noticed that I grew up in height too.
I am planning to start it back.
Which music are you listening when taking red light?

Thank you sVirgo,

Well, then... I'll stick to it for the 45 days it goes, I need to grow some inches too.... heheheeh

I'm doing everything she says in the book, except wearing red, yellow or white while outside, my fall and winter clothes are dark, most of them.

The music I listen to is the John Philip Sousa marches as Linda says... I got a CD in the library.

Well, good luck with your diet...let me know if you lose some weigh this time...

I got motivation too from you, so I will restart it. I have to get red bulb, red glass for solarized water. I will start from next week, first I will get all ingredients.

Hey there,
I tried the red colour diet about 4 years ago with great results (lost about 15-20 lbs). But... remember what it says in Star Signs about what belief in the calorie myth will do to you? Well, I kind of fell back into believing in the calorie myth a little too much after that, so I put back on a little bit of what I had lost. However, as soon as I 'reprogrammed' my way of thinking, I began losing weight again. Right now, I am still a little heavier than just after I finished the colour diet, but only by about 5-6 lbs... nothing a little exercise can't fix
So yes, the diet worked for me. Good luck with it!! Hope you see some great results, too!

Hi Elvia,
From where did you get red bulb?
I tried WalMart and KMart, they have maximum 20 watts red bulb.
Last time when I did it, I was in India, I used to put red paper around bulb, it was too risky as paper used to burn lot of times.
I am here in PA, so please suggest any local shop or online
I got audio CD from library too. Thank you for mentioning library.

Oh great that you are committed to start, it seems very serious, you already got most of the stuff...

Yes! I'm using flood light, but I couldn't get 100W, I just got 85W, it seems there's a range from 75 to 100, according to the book.... maybe you'll get better results because of that!!

Good luck and keep me posted!

I just ordered 3 of them from shop.com. Just of 1 Dollar something. 100 watts red bulb.
Yes, today I took out all brown and black dresses from my closet. I have to start wearing more of white. I brought today carrots and tomatoes too.
I have to buy ruby red glass too in this week.
So now we both can update each other on results.
I can only take red light early in the morning though good time is sunrise or noon or after noon
Good Luck!!

Hey alchemiest,

welcome to the topic and woooowww... SVirgo and me have been talking about it for a while and the results for us haven't been so great... by the way, friends, I can only do the color therapy during the night, about 8pm... that's the only time I could organize to do it! Maybe that's why I haven't lost weight?

Alchemiest, why don't you tell us at what time of the day you did it and if you used all the boosters, and the most important thing, when did you start losing the weight???

We need your help, so I can improve my current diet and SVirgo can start with 100% possibilities of sucess!!!!

Hey Elvia,
Sure, no problem. Glad to offer any assistance I can.
Well, I don't think that doing it at night is a problem at all- I did mine at 11 PM every night, and it worked fine. I didn't do the boosters or the clothes, although I imagine using the boosters would help speed things up. I was very careful about the food... another interesting thing- I lost that weight on a diet of fruits, pasta and potatoes, lol! I did however, completely avoid white bread and sugar all throughout, as well as eating out (who knows what they put in the food at restaurants!) I cooked everything in butter, although I did sometimes use sunflower seed oil as well. Maybe the reason I gained some weight back afterwards was because I reverted to a heavy bread and restaurant food diet after I finished the colour diet program. Oh well, lesson learnt.
For music- anything with repetitive drum beats works well. I made a tape with some heavy rock songs and used those during the colour baths. If you have some sort of file sharing program, I would advocate doing a search on there for something with heavy drums... you will probably be able to find some pure drum beats on there that you might want to use as well.
And also, for the solarized water- I did four glasses a day and not two. Make sure the glasses get lots of direct sunlight.

Hope this helps. Good luck, and please do post updates on how it goes.

This is interesting to know from experiences.
I have not recieved my red bulb yet, but my wardrobe got almost empty by removing brown and black.
My basic meal is lentils(cooked with tomatoes and tulmeric) and rice. I hope that is part of the diet on which I can hold.

Hello Svirgo and Alchemiest,

your advices have been great! and alchemiest thank you for the details you gave us!
I think my problem is that I solarize the water through my window, I live in a small apartment, and... it seems my location is not right to receive the sun rays!

SVirgo, your diet sounds great; however, just be very careful in the color of the lentils, red and yellow are OK, but there are some that are brown that are a no-no, and don't add coriander and green chillies to garnish...

Well, my friends, altough it's been a good journey and I do believe that this diet works, I'm really disappointed with the results till now, I have been dieting with all the stuff for 18 days and yesterday I noticed I have gained 2 kilos since I started, so some thing must be really wrong... I think is the sun rays that don't go to my water, and since I don't have anything else to do, I will stop it till I get a place I can solarize the water easily...

Thank you for all your help...and please SVirgo tell me how it's going with you... now with alchemiest advices you have a better starting point.

Sorry for being a quitter but I really sad and disappointed with my personal results...

Good luck, friends!!!

Hello SVirgo!

Happy to know you are planning so well your diet!

Good that you won't garnish your food with coriander and chillies!

About tea... uhmmm...I'm not sure really, because I know that most of the people drink dark tea... and just add little milk, so it keeps dark...

Couldn't you find a tea that does not look dark? you can drink things that are yellowish or goldish... or maybe add more milk...

Oh yes! I just checked the book and after the skinnies diet, pag. 245... there is a part specially for teas... I was right... if they are in the red-gold Yang ray... they are OK, but not if they are in the blue-green Yin ray... so, better find a tea that is not dark... and it underlines that for losing weight you have to drink it hot...

Well SVirgo, you are ready for success, please let me know when you start losing weight... I'm sending you lots of positive energy!

Good luck!

Thank you for boosting and helping me.

I just reached back from shopping, yellow and honey-color sweater. Two white pyjamas. white jacket, Two crimson red glasses, one red cup for tea and one red bowl and also white bowl, pink sunglasses(I could not find red). So I am ready to go ahead by tomorrow.
I got my bulbs too just now.
What about grey color, can I wear grey as it is not in any list.
It looks like I am too enthusiastic for all this already spent 6 hours to do shopping.
May be I will also pick late night hour to do it because morning it is always too hurry to leave for office.

For tea I think I am okay because I add milk and it looks like red in color(Indian tea). Even I live in apartment and getting direct sunlight is possible only through windows.
What about Purple and Grey color?

I created even a separate post of my experiences with color diet. First week, I lost 2 pounds, though I forget for 1 minute red color visualization in a day.
I just put in window where sunlight is coming.
I am still confused about diets, as I am too fan of eating.
That can I eat Cashews, drink soda. Please do not laugh. I have already left my chocolates.
Can I wear my purple disc.

Hey SVirgo!!!

Good to hear from you again...

Well...2 pounds in the first week are great!!!

About nuts, it says in the book that they belong to the skinnies diet, so better avoid them...and about soda I'd suggest this is a no-no...Sodas have too much sugar...maybe you could just start decreasing it or move to diet for a while, which is not better, just till you get ride of it... my dear SVirgo, soda is one of the worse things we can put in our bodies...

About chocolates... couldn't you find a substitute to kill your cravings? Something that has honey instead of sugar and is not brown?

Imagine if you make these little changes... your 2 pounds will become kilos lost soon... You can do it!!!!

Best luck!
