I've been reading a book from the theosophical library by Shafica Karagulla, MD and Dora van Gelder Kunz - it's called The Chakras and the Human Energy Fields. Mostly it's a clairvoyant study of how the chakras are affected when certain types of disease are present. I found it very interesting to read! In particular I found it interesting to read about the chakras being activated during events like evangelical/charismatic healings. Seems that this would apply during any type of healing from a gifted energy healer.I'm wondering if anyone knows how one would develop the ability to see the chakras, and/or what would be the best way to keep the chakras in balance to prevent disease, or to rebalance them if necessary? It could be all a coincidence, but a while back you might remember I made a post about my smear test showing an abnormality. I was having a mild symptom that went along with that, but I notice my symptoms have cleared up the last couple of months - it hit me that maybe this is because I've been working on my sacral chakra? Being that the sacral chakra relates to the reproductive system, this would make sense... So I'm now interested in the idea of keeping all the chakras healthy and balanced as a way of healing and preventing disease... Does anyone have any input? Ideas? IP: Logged |

Not sure how to go about developing how to acually see chakras, because I can't do it myself, but I personally find that creative visualization helps tremendously. I visualize a lot, and it really helps with directing energy during healing. And the more you visualize, the better your intuition gets, so the more likely you are to be able to know what's wrong (or not) with your chakras.

For balancing, I generally just use white light (since white contains every color in the spectrum) and let out a little request for the chakra to absorb what it needs. Totally the slacker's way to do it, but it works =) IP: Logged |

Colours corresponding to the chakras areCrown violet throat blue heart pink/green solar plexus yellow sacral orange base red As for seeing them....I see them as spinning wheels of light, which slow down when we are sick or tired... Sometimes I find it good to breathe in the colour to each chakra... for example....blue sky for throat.....yellow sun for solar plexus etc... Good luck! IP: Logged |

I am in the process of reading the "hands of light" book, I find it very interesting so far, I haven't finished it yet but one of the questions I have is if anyone is able to see the auras when doing the exrercises. According to Barbara most people can see it with the proper training but according to other people I have talked they say not anyone can.IP: Logged |
