Ive read that smokers need more vit c, and vitamins in general because smoking depletes a lot of vitamins esp C....anyone heard of this? if you smoke, remember to take your vitamins!!

I think smokers need more common sense.

I think I understand your message, Mortega, but I wouldn't say that smoking relates to common sense. I know quite a few around here with plenty of common sense who, despite that, haven't yet overcome their addictions.

Thanks for the info, eatbooks. Perhaps by taking this step toward better health some of those addicts will begin to overcome this habit.

I was told by a friend who was told by her doctor that she should take 800 iu of Vit E daily. It helps repair the lungs of scarring caused by smoking.

Anyone heard of this?

Quitting smoking was the best thing I did for my life.

Ever.

It took me almost fifteen years to beat. That's how addicted I was.
Common sense and smoking doesn't make sense.... addictions don't respond to our normal methods of making it through the world.
I know it was a joke.. but I didn't find it funny, and I have a wicked sense of humour.

Yes, you do need more V-C if you smoke, and did you know you need more V-C if you eat a lot of candy, did you ever notice about three weeks after halloween, and Easter, that your children get sick, that is why, they are low on V-C because of the sweets
