Well, seeing you have recently questioned the value of vitamins, I don't know if you have any interest in this recommendation:

Try increasing your EFA (Omega 3) and vitamin C, vitamin Bs (mainly 1,6, and 12), and calcium intake.

The easiest way to do that is of course taking supplements. In particular a high potency B complex with vitamin C, in the morning with breakfast. Then 1600 mg of calcium, divided into 2 or 3 dosages throughout the day. Take the last dosage before bedtime. Take an Omega 3 supplement once a day.

The reason why I suggest this is because your body may be more stressed than you realize, and the addiction to nicotine could be one source of that stress. Furthermore, nicotine addiction does a number on your nervous system, depleting your system of vitamins and minerals, which makes your body less able to cope with stress on its own. So your body wants more and more nicotine to compensate.

Get a small purple plate. It will easily fit in between the celaphane wrapper and the actual cigarette package. I do not know how, but it somehow helps slow down the smoking urge! i testify this is true and I am currently not smoking at all. When i started with the plate i smoked a lot!! Each day, I smoked less without stress! Tuxedo Meow

I read in a newspaper that the tobacco companies are increasing the amounts of nicotine causing quitting to be more difficult.

I'm having a heck of a time quitting, too, even with pneumonia. Definitely have to WANT to quit before even attempting to quit.

It's so dumb! I feel so good by going without cigarettes yet I don't want to give them up just yet. I don't know if I'm waiting for cancer to strike or if that would even stop me.

I can't understand why I could give up my other habits so easily, but not these stupid things. I'm frustrated at being so weak!

gemini- i like taking vitamins but sometimes i wonder if its doing anything...i read about fillers(i think thats the word)and that most products are of cheap quality, and im not willing to spend too much on them....so thats why i was questioning about the potency of vitamins..

good recommendations though, im gonna try it...

blue- I know i know, i quit for 3 months awhile back then starting smoking again coz of stress...I was doing really good too, Ive been smoking for 7-8 years now, and it was the first time I quit.....practice takes perfect..i hope!!

aqua- wouldnt surprise me at all if that was true, about the nicotine thing...ergh
