Yes. For example, rose oil works in the same way as a rose quartz crystal, healing the heart and soothing emotions like jealousy. All essential oils work through our olfactory sense to trigger something emotionally or mentally. Now that you've brought this up, I'm interested in looking up my aromatherapy book to see whether there are more correlations between the oils, crystals and chakras. Thanks for starting this thread! i was wondering why perfumes, scents make me forget how upset/etc iam at the time, there is a healing quality to certain smells....if anyone knows a good link to this subject, id appreciate it.IP: Logged |

I find that the more resinous the oil, and therefore the lower the "note" of the fragrance, the more deeply relaxing it is and with more of a spiritual quality. eg frankincense. And the lighter the fragrance, the more uplifting it is, eg orange or lemon. I don't know of any links, but if I find a good one I'll post it. IP: Logged |
