I've had it in mind to do a reflexology course part-time one evening per week for some time now (I didn't start last year because I thought my baby needed me more, as he was born last year in May).

Anyway, I'm drawn towards holistic therapies as a choice of study (I need to gain more qualifications), but reflexology in particular looked interesting.

Then today, I read an article in a magazine about reflexology which quite literally knocked my socks off! It explained how, because reflexology helps to unblock energy, etc, working with the aura, it also helps to open doorways into the intuition. Wow.

Any uncanny stories to tell about reflexology?

Decades ago, I got a book on Acupressure/Foot Reflexology. I didn't read it thoroughly before enthusiastically starting to practice on friends and family..... I gave my brother a 2-hour reflexology session and laid him out for two days -- he said he felt like he'd been hit by a truck

It is one of the few things that brings me relief with my disabilities.
Wonderful!
Right up there with Pressure point therapy and Meridian point therapy.

I do not like to talk about it in much detail here. I have been insulted, judged, and looked down on by some folks who said people who become ill or injured deserve it.:(
When it happens to them or someone they care about, I suspect a different view will be taken in those cases.

Hey listens to trees, I am a reflexologist, & it is amazing.It really helps with everything.The thing I like the most is no special tools are required except your hands.So I am able to help people everywhere I go, of course a chair, towels & lotion are nice & I try to be prepared, but I have been in situations where I did not have those things & someone needed my help.One of the other posts mentioned someone who was laid out for days after a treatment, this is a common detox reaction & an increase in water is suggested after a treatment, as it does stir up energy & toxins.This will lessen any detox effects, physically or emotionally as it can also release emotions stuck in the body. I have a fairly clean diet& drink tons of water already, so I have never experienced any detox reactions. I could go on for days about how wonderful reflexology is, so I will leave it at this & if you would like to know more, I would be happy to share! Peace to all! :happy:

Good stuff! Everybody should try it at least once. Blame it on my Pisces moon, but I swoon when I get my feet worked on. It's almost as good as sex.

When my stepmum had reflexology, the reflexologist told her after that they had been able to unblock energy which would allow her to conceive- and she did! Do you experience a lot of intuition?

One must take care however not to over stimulate certain meridian points or it can cause miscarriages.

Happy to meet you as well Listens To Trees and Hello to all others as well!I do experience intuition as far as the persons emotions & their health conditions. I have not received any messages from beyond yet. I have only been doing this a year, I used to be a nurse. Couldn't stand all the "drug pushing" so to speak, in the medical field.Fayte.M is correct with certain points causing a miscarriage, they are the webbing between the first & second toe, and the webbing between the thumb & index finger. I used these points to help a friend bring on labor, she was overdue & they were going to induce her, it worked marvelously!!!I agree with Aquaspryt69 it is almost as good as sex, no offense taken here either. Me and one of my friends (former classmate) try to get together once a week to trade services......heaven......I sleep like a baby!Happy to help any way I can......peace to all :happy:
