"The Punishment Hypothesis" is as old as Earth itself. It means if you punish people for what they were not supposed to do, they will obey you and deliver results, simply to avoid punishment. If you commit a sin, you certainly deserve a punishment. The sinners must be punished, if not by a human being, by God.

We are trained right from our childhood, following this model. We are advised so many 'Donts', if these rules are violated, we would be punished, so that we would never repeat the sin. We are taught so man 'Dos' which when not performed, we are duly punished, for 'not doing your duty' or whatsoever. Religious stories support this belief portraying how the good guy was a favorite for God and the bad guys had debts to pay.

Many people believe in this. They believe sinners must be punished. When they think of Karma, they usually think of Pending Punishments. The questions is: Does God really want to punish? Psychopaths and Serial Killers need to be punished, because they are unhuman. Does the same rule apply to human beings too? Is punishment necessary?

When people believe God is very powerful, they generally do not believe God is very good. God will not punish because God forgives. God keeps forgiving. We humans punish each other, the punishment does not really come from God. We punish ourselves and blame God for it. After all God is the Supreme Power endowed with the power to punish anyone. That is falsehood.

If you are incapable of forgiving, it means you are unable to forgive yourself. You have many skeletons in your closet and you feel guilty for it and you do not know you feel guilty. The question is not whether you are really guilty, the question is whether you can forgive your own sins.

A war does not end unless one of them is willing to forgive and let go. The same is very true when the war is with yourself. It is tough. It is very tough. Your true mastery is in your ability to resolve this inner conflicts. Once you sign up peace with yourself and only then you can sign up peace with the rest of the world.

The term 'sin' is very emotional. The correct word to use is 'mistake'. Because you can make mistakes. You can remember your mistakes. You can rectify your mistakes. The same is not possible with sins. When you learn a skill when you move from the beginner to the expert you do so by learning from your mistakes. When you are progressing spiritually too, you progress only through similar mistakes. You may have to pay a price for your mistakes, but that does not mean you must be punished. Paying your price is natural. It proves you have inner peace. Being punished or more correcly allowing yourself to be punished is disastrous.

I decided to post this in Health And Healing because this is about your mental and emotional well being.

Anger and Guilt are the twin forces that hurt you from within. They are the sources of Heart Attacks, Hypertension and Abnormal Blood Sugar levels. The basic instruction is elementary: Release the inner tensions that rarely surface or that do not surface at all. Even though it is elementary, it is tough to achieve.

Here on Earth, we are governed by the Universal Laws, that are immutable...
an eye for an eye, simply means, you get what you give, God does not punish anyOne, for the Universal Laws, will see, that you get, what you have given. ...

Man, decided, he would be judge, and we would punish, which, if you think about it, breaks the Universal Laws... .

when we have done something wrong, and the Laws, Man made are broken, we are punished by the Laws created by Man...but, the TRUTH, is, we should take these individuals, and heal them..take them away, from where they could hurt people further, til they have learned and grown....the death penalty, is abominable, NO ONE, has the right to take a life, unless it is in self defense...in Heaven, they go to a group, and are healed...and taught. . .there is no lake of fire, or brimstone...Hell, is here on Earth-Tartarus

what a mess...

LOve to ALL. . .
