For me, throughout the past 5 years, it always has been- chocolate!!!When I was in Queenstown, NZ, I visited this GP for my yet another stomach ache "attack"- for I really don't know how long, how many years, my stomach aches have always been stress-related- when I'm really upset, I'd have one; when I'm really nervous or worried, I might have one as well. I was puzzled and a bit uncertain when the GP advised me to have a chocolate bar each time I have a stomach ache again. I returned to the hostel I stayed at, told this to my fellow guests, and one of them, a guy from Leeds, England, remarked "Oh! This is the cutest doctor I've ever heard of!" lol And what's more amazing, it actually worked! It still does. It always has. Now, thanks to the increasing prevalence of organic industry in the country I currently reside in, I can finally replace Cadbury with organic dark chocolate. I don't eat chocolate very often, as long as my emotional well-being remains relatively harmonious. But I've always kept at least one chocolate bar in my own bag, in case I suddenly have a stomach ache again, I can have the chocolate bar and alleviate my stomach ache right away. So, what are your remedies for your stomach aches? I'd be interested in hearing about those. Lake IP: Logged |

Well...as I just stated in my most recent post in another thread of mine here at HAH, even though I had said I was going to have a break from the cyberspace at the Astrology forum, still, I had thought about coming back to HAH because I did not want to abandon the threads I started here. Besides, there are a thread or two that really interest me (your Chocolate Alchemy thread, SunChild! ). So I made the decision of returning to HAH for the above reasons, but I will try spending my time on the internet sparingly just for now. Thanks for sharing, SunChild and Artlovesdawn I love your tips, too! Those are quite interesting remedies, stemming from your personal experience, Artlovesdawn, and I find them fascinating. SunChild, Indeed! The cure might just as well be the cause, if we know what it is! Rest...mmm, I frequently neglect that. Once, I had a terrible stomach ache, and all I needed was simply lying down, and it was gone! Instead, I did not take the advice at that time, and ended up taking three different over-the-counter stomach ache pills. They simply did't work that day. And the ache was gone almost miraculously after I had layed down! That was amazing. Worth pondering for myself, I think. Chamomile tea...I didn't know it could help relieve stomach ache as well! I love chamomile tea, I used to have a cup of it each night before bedtime, because I found it really helpful for my sleep- for falling asleep. I think it's because I'm kind of high-strung all the time, lots of anxiety, nervousness, worrying, stress...going on in me all the time, that's why chamomile tea worked like a charm for me! Again, thanks for sharing! Lake IP: Logged | |
