well yes and no...

as an rn i know that the body will expell any un-needed elements..however, the liver is what processes, in most part, the kidneys second, the unused chemicals of our bodies...

a great contention of mine has always been vitamines....do take or not to take...

i say no...i say, from previous persoanl and professional experience get what you need from the food you eat, the substances you drink the air you breath and let the rest up to the divine organsim you are inhabiting...

blessings..

Terri

My chiropractor suggested i use prenatal vitamins to help regulate my hormones. I dont eat like i should ... i eat good. But i know i dont get ALL the stuff i need in a day's meals. So it works to supplement my diet with vitamins and has helped me tremendously balance my hormones. It took me about 1 1/2-2 months to notice the changes. I was not one for vitamnins in the past and let me tell ya when i saw my urnine for the first time after taking the vitamins ... i was seriouslly frettin'. My chiropractor laughed when i called him up all worried ....

So, i would saym if your diet isnt that great try the pre-natals. The prenatals are designed more for the women - unlike regular multivitamins which can be used by male or female.

I think each case is individual and what your body needs. Prenatals are loaded with vitamins that a pregnant mother needs since it's all going to the development of the baby. I tried taking prenatals when I wasn't pregnant and felt sick from them.

I am no expert, but I do know they are richer in Folate ( Folic Acid) and more complex B vitamins.
I would definitely say it's up to you and your own intake of nutrition.
You know your body.
