hey all
really need to know what to do about my eye. i had a sty several months back. somewhere down the line it became a small cyst. now i also have some sort of an infection.
i have been taking constitutional homeopathy. and my doc says its nothing to worry about. but i am worried since it has been there for months.
does anyone know a remedy to this?
would really appreciate any help forwarded. thanks in advance...

Purchase a bottle of liquid Savlon. Put a few drops in water (dilute well till water milky) close your eye (important)and shampoo along your eyelashes and where the cyst is. Rinse. Open eye! Do this in the morning. Buy some drops or ointment containing chloromycetin from the pharmacy. Use as directed. At night wash eye with warm salt water as in the morning. Take silica as either a homeopathic remedy or supplement because silica expels foreign matter and pus.If you are careful with the Savlon this will sort you out. Just remember to keep eye closed and rinse well.

I don't know whether this will work on cysts, but lukewarm eyebright tea does work on eye infections like conjunctivitis. I've used it and it worked better than eyedrops.

I didn't know that about silica expelling foreign matter... interesting.

I have a huge homeopathic bible and silica apparently causes the body to push things to surface and expel outwardly. Good for boils and splinters. And another awesome remedy is for women about to give birth. Two weeks before due date take Caulophyllm 30 once a day and you will have a speedy birth. My kids were born as if shot from a cannon and although it has absolutely nothing to do with eye infections it's gotta help somebody!! Plus it was recommended by the most brilliant homeopath so it is on solid advice.

Thank you Bunnies

I also didn't know that about silica. Good to keep in mind. How this "huge homeopathic bible" is called?

Oy, stys are painful! Sorry to hear about your woes. I went to a doctor once for the same condition, and was suggested to use a warm water compress every few hours on the eye, and wash with a mild tear free shampoo. Cosmetics are usually a culprit. I was also told that if it gets worse, they can simply cut open the sty and let it drain.

Good luck!

sorry guys...cud not login the past few days...but i'd like to say a big thanks to all of u'll....THANKS

I went to the doc today as the cyst had inflamed and gotten bigger...was really upset...wanted to cry...but was holding back....i know its a little silly to feel like crying fr something so small but well i've just been a lil ultra sensitive off late...

the doc told me that my cyst had not aggravated due to any external conditions...coz i asked him if it had anything to do with dirt/ pollution..he said that i was obviously upset/aggravated from the inside.....which i know is true....coz i've been getting angry at the drop of a hat.....
he said the cyst is like a capsule and cannot be aggravated from outside...he then asked me whats the worse that i cud do if i were angry....and i said i cud scream real loud, cry and wud be shaking with anger...
anyways he changed my medication(dunno wat it is coz they normally dispense it and dont tell us the name...cud be the silica u mentioned bunnies)...and said that it shud dissolve in 2 weeks....
i really hope that happens...so i'm guessing with all the questions he asked, i need to keep my calm more than anything else...tho i find that a lil difficult...

but just wanna say thanks once again to all of u'll...i think i will anyways try the savlon and tea thing....

I know how you are feeling with the internal aggravation... do whatever you can to stay calm. Drink some chamomile tea and try some Bach Flower remedies. I'm trying too! *hugs* Feel better soon!

aww...just for general soothing of eyes (especially during hayfever season) - my optician recommends putting some bicarbonate soda/baking soda in warm water and using a cotton bud to gently brush your eye (where you'd normally use kohl, or line your eyes inside)...
