Well I have heard that urine is sterile but also contains nutrients. I have no idea how true that is! But you hear of people who drink their own urine to remain in good health. IP: Logged |

Urine TherapyJust one of the first sites to pop up and there are many others touting the benefits of drinking or bathing in your own urine. Not my cup o' tea. But, according to many and particularly one of our interesting and amusing john books "Why Do Men Have Nipples?", urine is less gross than saliva when you compare the number of pathogens in each. To think that some/most ER doctors (the book was co-authored by a doctor) would rather be peed on than spit upon by a patient is quite frightening in its implications. <insert puking smiley here> IP: Logged |

It makes sense...however... this says it all: quote: For most people most of the time, one's own urine is not likely to be harmful. However, it is not likely to be healthful or useful except for those rare occasions when one is buried beneath a building or lost at sea for a week or two. In such situations drinking one's own urine might be the difference between life and death. As a daily tonic, there are much tastier ways to introduce healthful products into one's blood stream.

find out all about it here: along with a free ebook. http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/urine.htm Urine Therapy (Uropathy) Your Body's Own Best Medicine, A Powerul Infection Fighter "You may think that when it comes to alternative health therapies you've heard it all. But there is one natural therapy you've probably never heard of ---even though its one of the most powerful, most researched and most medically proven natural cures ever discovered." Martha Christy __________________________________ In India, urine therapy is called "shivambu": "Had our shivambu rishi (sage), great devotee, propagator and mighty supporter of shivambu movement, centenarian former Prime Minister of India, respected (late) Morarji Desai not boldly and emphatically declared before the world that lie drank his own urine regularly and that was the secret of his longevity and exuberant health, the most valuable and beneficial information that is being given to you through this booklet, which can prove to be a boon to our poor country and which is capable of curing a host of diseases ranging from common cold to cancer and arthritis to AIDS, would have remained hidden in some unknown quarters and the entire mankind would have been deprived of shivambu. Really speaking, late Shri Morarjlbhai by his frank and honest declaration has accorded world recognition, glory and greatness to this free yet priceless therapy otherwise considered to be nauseating. The whole world shall ever remain indebted to him for rendering this great humanitarian service. " G.K.Thakkar more on shivambu IP: Logged |

Eww...I could never do this. Drink urine? I actually heard that it isn't even good to drink it if you are without water. I forget exactly why but I think it's because it actually dehydrates you, but I'm not sure. I've heard of people putting it on their face to help the skin. That is still disgusting to me. there are products that contain urea, which is urine, but it's been modified. So....I guess it is good for the skin. IP: Logged |

urine has been used by some to make very soft beautiful white hides. urine can be used as a head or body soak to kill scabies and lice-so they say-i did it once! for a light lice attack. however some of the instructions say to urinate (I like to say pssssssssss) in a jar or container and save it awhile, then use it on head and body-urine CAN be mixed a bit with olive oil and salt and used as a body scrub. Of course a good shower afterward will minimize the smell. If you KNOW you are going to use your urine for whatever purposes you can watch what you eat and drink and ingest for a few days, I myself have created close-to-not-too-stinky urine that is almost clear. when I saved urine without doing clearing my system i created dark heavy urine. On the third coast urine is a good remedy for jelly fish and man-o-war stings. If there's a buch around set-up by some beer drinkers for quick access! love, tuxedo MeowIP: Logged |

Gross!!If you want beautiful skin slather it with Vitamin E oil every day (or at night before bed). My mother did it all her life and she looks amazing - she barely has any wrinkles (for a woman of 72) and she looks 20 years younger than she actually is. Since I started doing it a couple of months ago (having moved from Florida to Colorado where the climate is very dry and arid and rough on the skin) I have gotten many compliments on how great my skin looks. (Of course I only recommend 100% pure Vitamin E oil. I get mine at Walgreens.) IP: Logged |

For leaches, you might want to check with a pharmacy. I think it only fair that I tell you why I suggest that so you can decide on your own.I was watching an episode of the TV show "Grey's Anatomy" and the surgeons actually used a leach on the tip of a man's nose because he had a skin cancer removed and during the healing process a large blood blister formed on his nose and they used the leach to decrease the blister. So I guess a pharmacy or surgical supply store of some sort. I hope that works. Geocosmic Valentine ------------------ "Everybody is a star!" Sly & The Family Stone IP: Logged |

Wow.. urine... ew. Not something I'd like to try. There are "many roads to Rome" as Linda pointed out in Star Signs, and I think I'd like to try the cosmetology suggestions in the Physical Immortality chapter. I've started using moisturizer on my face, and it's improved quite a bit. Of course, my mom might freak out if I started taking all the vitamins, too. Not that it's bad, but the amount the books say to take is quite a lot... more than Mum thinks is necessary, no doubt. As for urine, I'm not completely opposed to the idea, as long as it isn't my skin it's being applied to. IP: Logged |

Geocosmic Valentine Thank you! I do not have television. Glad to hear leeches are still being used. They are great for bruises and insect bite swellings and blood blisters and to aid circulation in the feet. I would use the wild local kind but do not know what diseases or microbes they might carry from sucking on wild animals. I also think the tame kind for medical uses do not grow as large as the wild variety which can become 2 feet long. My native American grandmother used such for diabetes and for infections and gangrene. It worked.IP: Logged |

Hi,I just wanted to say I use this treatment daily since Jan. It is the best thing so far, at 1st it was a little hard but now it is part of my beauty routine. I have spent so much money on skin care products and treatments but this is the only which seems to work. Also I use it on my head my hair was falling out it stopped and have new hair growing. I wash my face with Castile liquid soap, dry it than my u. treatment air dry, than some natural vitamin E or oil or cream…. It has done wonders…. Please keep an open mind…. Now I feel like a goddess and don't need to wear makeup all the time... Muse IP: Logged |

However....It IS an excretion of the body...contains toxins, that is why the body excrets them, via urine. People who loose kidney function and do not urinate eventually build up (and quite quickly I might add) enough toxins to kill them. Our bodies contain several routes to metabolize and excrete toxins: respirations, stool (liver excretions) and the kidneys, (urine excretions.) IP: Logged |
