When I first read Star Signs, I remember Linda writing about meeting a woman who ate a diet high in seafood and dairy products, who looked much younger than her actual age. I can't seem to find that part of the book anymore. Does anyone else remember reading this? I'm positive it was in Star Signs. Thanks!

Welcome to LL, bluestar

I've been on a seafood diet for decades: whenever I see food, I eat food
j/k

Interesting question, but I would think that inevitably this would be an unhealthy practice with the amount of mercury and other heavy metals in the flesh of shellfish and fishes in this century

I take Fish Oil/Cod Liver Oil that has Omega 3 Fatty Acids that include especially DHA to minimize my Dyslexia,Dyspraxia,AD/HD neurological issues,and it does help.....it also makes me less hypersensitive. I notice that when I am stressed,upset, I would have strong sensation in my frontal lobes. I would feel rather confused from the stress,upset and vice versa. When I am on Fish Oil/Cod Liver Oil, I don't experience that. That's how much it really works for me. It helps with depression,and anxiety which are connected to stress. I don't believe in medication for AD/HD. I believe that Omega 3 fatty acids can help with AD/HD symptoms and not only Dyspraxic and Dyslexic symptoms. The 3 conditions overlap with each other and are connected to Omega 3 Fatty Acid deficiencies. I read about this stuff in the book, LCP SOLUTION By Jacqueline Sturdy.

The Dietary Management of Fatty Acid Deficiency in ADHD, Dyslexia,
and Dyspraxia http://www.lcpsolution.com/

Omega-3 DHA is important for

* Newborn infant brain development and visual acuity
* Maintenance of adult mental agility and hand-eye
co-ordination
* Recent evidence links omega-3 DHA levels and
symptoms of disorders such as schizophrenia,
depression, dyslexia, dyspraxia, alzheimer's and
attention deficit – hyperactivity disorder (ADD)
* Reduced risk of cardiovascular disease

Research continues in relation to Omega-3 DHA and:

* Asthma
* Allergies
* Psoriasis
* Cancer
* Inflammatory bowel disease
* Obesity http://www.dha-in-mind.com/

Another thing is that I scored 29 out of 30 on the MMSE(Mini Mental Status Exam) during my Veteran Affairs neuropsychological testing.
So I have good cognition and no mental decline like in Dementia.

The mini-mental state examination (MMSE) or Folstein test is a brief 30-point questionnaire test that is used to assess cognition. It is commonly used in medicine to screen for dementia. In the time span of about 10 minutes, it samples various functions, including arithmetic, memory and orientation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini-mental_state_examination
