Hi guys

I have just received news from my doctor and I have been diagnosed with Hepatitis B.

I have always been careful when it came to sexual activities, i.e I always protected myself but now I get Hep B...

Hi Fieryscales - I'm sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. Hep B is not only spread by sexual contact. I have a friend who was diagnosed with Hep B who believes he contracted it thru blood transfusion (dirty needle)

Following is a list of common causes:

  • Sexual contact. The hepatitis B virus can enter the body through a break in the lining of the rectum, vagina, urethra, or mouth. Sexual contact is the most important risk factor for the spread of HBV in North America.
  • Sharing needles. People who share needles and other equipment (such as cotton, spoons, and water) used for injecting illegal drugs may inject HBV-infected blood into their veins.
  • Work-related exposure. People who handle blood or instruments used to draw blood may become infected with the virus. Health care workers are at risk of becoming infected with the virus if they are accidentally stuck with a used needle or other sharp instrument contaminated with an infected person's blood. Infection also can occur if blood splashes onto an exposed surface, such as the eyes, mouth, or a cut in the skin.
  • Childbirth. A newborn baby can get the virus from his or her mother during delivery when the baby comes in contact with the mother's body fluids in the birth canal (perinatal transmission). But breast-feeding does not transmit the virus from a woman with HBV to her child.
  • Body piercings and tattoos. HBV may be spread when needles used for body piercing or tattooing are not properly cleaned (sterilized) and HBV-infected blood enters a person's skin.
  • Toiletries. Grooming items such as razors and toothbrushes can spread HBV if they carry blood from a person who is infected with the virus.

I'm not sure the route my friend uses as far as medication/treatment goes. I can put an email into him if you'd like more info?

The only thing that you can do now is to take extreamly good care of yourself, particullarly your liver.

No alcohol, no tattoos, no IV drugs, nothing to put your liver at risk. Be especially wary of drugs that are metabolized by the liver, do not and I mean DO NOT injest anything with acetaminophen (Tylenol) in it, before taking any drugs find out how the body metabolizes the drug.

Hep B is kind of midline where the 3 Hepatitis diseases are concerned. Hep C is far worse.

You can live a long and normal life with Hep B, but you must take responsibility for your own healthcare and take care of yourself.

Also research alternative therapies.

Naomi Judd claims to have had Hep C and received a spontaneous, miracle healing. The mind is a powerful thing, capable of anything!

B well!

fieryscales, my heart goes out to you as I'm certain you are worried and confused about this.

Ang has provide some great information for you

Please also carefully heed the advice given by hippichick just above me. (*shh.. she's a nurse by profession) She doesn't give medical advice out a whole lot, so I'd also take it as a blessed compliment

Do take the time to educate yourself by reading everything you can get your hands on about this. While talking to people is comforting and soothing to the soul.

Thank you for trusting us enough to share this.

I too... will keep my eye's open for any wise counsel in which to share regarding this medical issue.

Good news people: It doesn't seem that I contracted Hep B from my sexual activities.
I had an HIV test done yesterday, got the result back and am HIV-
Such a relief to know I am HIV-
I just need to be more careful now in the future.
I think I know how I got it. I had a tattoo done near the end of last year, so that could have caused it.

A_o_H yes, I would like more info please, if you can.

I'm glad you are feeling better.
In every crisis is an opportunity.

Look in to ways of keeping liver healthy

And please have safe sex with your partner.
There are tests available that determines if a person will be just a carrier and not be affected. I hope your partner is one of them.

Fieryscales...
a client of mine had this condition for years... and then a natural-pathic doctor turned them on the liquid oxygen... recipe and contact information below... they healed in a matter of months.. of course each human being has a different environment going on in their body.. however, you may want to talk to your physician about this... worked for them... might work for you..... good luck!

Oxygen...
called Aerobic 0 -7 "Stabilized Oxygen"
order from: www.vitaminlife.com
Phone: 866-998-8855

Put 10-11 drops into a tall 10 oz glass... then add 1/2 teaspoon of Bragg's organic vinegar... LET STAND EXACTLY 3 MINUTES... then fill the glass full of alkaline water (Figi water is alkaline at .7... Arrow head is alkaline at 6.5... or test your water for it's Ph level... get test kit on line or at a pool store). drink as quickly as you can....

I would definitely give the alternative therapies a try.
My uncle recently managed to heal from extensive heart damage caused by a heart attack- through a special diet- purely through my Aunt's own research.

There is so much out there that the "conventional" medical world do not yet acknowledge.

Today I had an appointment with my doctor who treats me for my diabetes. During the consultation, I told her I had Hep B. We talked about it etc. Just before I had to see her, I had to have a urine test done. The result came back showing I had ketones in my system. Therefore, my doctor advice me to be put on a drip, immediately, to get rif of the ketones. So, I said it was fine and I was on a drip for over two hours today! The Doctor said it was caused by my Hep B as it is in the acute stage and it will disrupt my sugar-levels and cause ketones.
Also, in six months time, I need to go and have tests done to see if I am a carrier or not of Hep B.
Not a good day for me today.

FS - I wanted to stop in and let you know I haven't forgotten about you!! ... I sent a email to my friend, but I've yet to hear back from him. He moved a few months back so I no longer have a contact phone number to call him. I'm hoping he still checks the email I have for him. I will try and send another out today with a read receipt. I'll let ya know as soon as I hear something.

Maybe this could help:

Aloe Life

quote:
Detox Plus Formula is more effective than other Detox formulas because the Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice carries the herbal extracts deep into the tissues supporting and stimulating the release of waste residue throughout the lymph system and liver. This formula is very effective containing Essiac formula herbs. Detox of the liver has provided help from skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, lymes disease, hepatitis C, Candida, Allergies and general well being. Great to detox the body at least once a year to get out toxins that we receive from many different factors and can be taken daily for overall well being and stamina. Recommended to be taken with Fibermate by Aloe Life to encourage more toxins to leave the body. Directions: 1 OZ 1-3 times per day for daily use. For Detox Plan take 1OZ daily gradually building up to 8OZ for 3 months with Fibermate. Drink at least 6-8OZ of water daily and eating plenty of vegetables. Fieryscales - I was mistaken. My fellow friend has Hep C not Hep B.

Seems there's still someone I know with type B ... but I can't figure out who or where they are. I'm sorry I told you I could offer advice when In fact I can't.

It does seem tlike there's been lots of advice thrown your way though. Just wade thru em till you find one thats right for you.
