It should be possible to make a cheap waterbed by filling an inflatable lilo with water. Any ideas on how to get the water into the inflatable?------------------ The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; Matthew 21:42 IP: Logged |

.um yep! My children actually pulled this one off last summer. The results however were disastrous, LOL! My livingroom floor became the kind recipient to all those gallons upon gallons of water... *sigh It worked for maybe 2 days until someone with a bit of weight lay down on it he was let's say maybe 80 or 85 lbs? *Laughing These things really are NOT designed to hold water internally at all. While they don't necessarily pop easily the plug is a weak area and doesn't hold so well. So if you do try this may I suggest reinforcing the plug area immediately with perhaps um... duct tape or something of patch quality? The way they filled it was via a high pressure hose while another pinched the plug area keeping it wide open. It was very time consuming and required a certain amount of tolerance to getting drenched themselves. So worth it on a hot day it seems Good Luck to any who try it! IP: Logged |

I imagine an air mattress would be stronger than the kind just used for the pool..IP: Logged |

I think I will try the thing with the hose. They are so expensive it is worth a risk. It would be a very cold experience, tho, with no heater.------------------ The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; Matthew 21:42 IP: Logged |
