Carrot juice is great. I have it on my porridge oats when I want a "milk-free" day. IP: Logged |

I eat carrots but am partially blind at all times and have bouts of complete blindness too. Always had bad vision before though, with 3/4inch lenses in the "old days", 20/3000+. Carrots are high glycemic and bad for diabetics who often already have eye troubles. Smokers should not add vitamin A to their diets, it increases the odds of cancer developing above what the smokes are doing to them. Lutein is better for eyes. It helps protect the retina and prevent macular troubles. I adore any and all vegetables, raw, cooked, steamed, nuked...yummmmm! IP: Logged |

Cancerian, you can make me eat carrots and celery if you chopped them so so small that i won't be able to pick them. same with garlic, onion and bell pepper. but you cannot make me drink carrot juice or eat carrot cake. i am weird. LOL Lexx, i have heard of exercises to improve eyesight. any thoughts? IP: Logged |

Yes! And they work for many folks! My issues are the result of birth trauma and injuries plus an ocular stroke, so not much at this time can help but to prevent further damage. BTW...I replied at Private Readings to your Lexigram Magic request.

i have this book on regaining good vision thru eye exercises, but haven't found the time to actually read it. (maybe i am comfortable not having 20/20 vision). but then again, we do not really need perfect physical eyes to really SEE.Lexx, i really appreciate your taking the time to lexi my name. i feel honored and empowered. it's awesome! LEXX, HUGS! I was about 9 years old when my mom lost her left eye to glaucoma. It was a very frightening experience and I use to put eye drops into her right eye for her. She later developed a cataract in her right eye and and was clinically blind until it's removal. I know what You must go through and I truly sympathise. You have such an amazingly caring spirit, I wish you all the best. Blessed Be, Charly

Charlotte Thank you and bless you! I am happy your mom could be helped with surgery. I was a premmie in the 1950s. They did not realize that pure oxygen in incubators for premmies(who usually died back then if under 7 months)would literally oxidize their eyes. Then later I was struck by a car and suffered brain and eye damage. Later an accident on the job and another head injury. Then 4 rare type strokes one being a rare ocular type last August. I am lucky that they are developing new lenses to help me out. A few years ago I had to wear old hard contacts. Contacts and glasses have come a long way in the last decade. I have a condition similar to MS which further aggravates it all. I set my computer monitor settings to large font and type replies in word usually to use spell check. Magnifying glass works too. I saw a site which sells some lovey pinz nezes and monocles which I want to get. Like Theodore Roosevelt used. Its scary to wake up at times with black blindness. My beloved works the pressure points and soon my sight returns. Poor yes, but back. The stroke left permanet damage and so only one eye is reasonably correctable. I now have eyes which see color each differently. One is color, one nearly sepia toned in browns and beiges like old photos. I do not take my eyesight for granted. I guess that is why I read over 2000 books before age 18 and have long since lost count. I never saw real stars until I was 10 when I got my first pair of glasses. No one caught on to my sight troubles because I could then see up real close and read constantly. And the first time seeing birds in flight and details as leaves and blades of grass, clouds, wow! The detail was intoxicating! Everyone just thought I was a clutz. It was a real eye opening experience! It is the teasing and ridicule by children in school, and adults too, sadly some here at LL that makes coping hard. I accept this as my lot. I do not as some say, feel I willed it, deserve it,, or am of a low un-evolved spiritual character. I think it may be why I am psychic and can Lexigram and diagram things in my mind, and see auras easily. In my dreams I see perfectly! Wild! IP: Logged |

LEXX, You are a *GREAT* spirit... and it is obvious how spiritually attuned You are. Those that tease and torment are the ones that have much to learn and are babes on the ladder. After witnessing what my Mom went through, I look out at the world and truly am appreciative for being able to see the beauty of nature. I can imagine what a delight it was to Your young eyes. Thank You! for sharing this post. Hugs, CharlyIP: Logged |
