This link is interesting. I've been a vegetarian for quite awhile now and considering taking the next step, but not until I've learned everything that I need to know to sustain this kind of lifestyle: http://www.fruitarian.com/ay/HowToBecomeFruitarian.htm IP: Logged |

My brother has talked about how if he could, he'd just live off fruits alone but he says it'd be expensive to do so.Sounds interesting. I've done little stints where I go vegetarian just to try and let my body clean itself out and it sort of re-ignites my appetite once I start eating meat again. IP: Logged |

Hi BlueRain it is probably the best diet there is for ultimate health, energy and longeviety, but if your new to healthy eating it may seem daunting and restricting. a better way to approach it is by eating raw vegan foods and wow are there some benefits from that. there are lots of forums/communitys on the subject, its a whole new world and I believe its discovery is a huge evolutionary leap for humanity in these times of intense change. its eco friendly ~ less energy via heat in cooking, its cruelty free ~ which means less individual and collective karma, to eat this way is less time consuming ~ the ultimate fast food! ~ more irony ~ chocolate, b4 its denatured is the most nutritionally dense superfood there is, it has the highest content of the mineral magnesium than any other food which many are deficent in ~ thats why ppl over eat bcoz their bodies keep craving the vits & mins they're lacking. there is so much more on super-foods on www.sunfood.com, www.goneraw.com is gr8 for recipes, info, forums etc, or google raw food and your area. and it doesn't have to be expensive as fruit n veg grow n abundance n many places. btw I started this lifestyle earlier this year and it is so so exiting, best of luck xx IP: Logged |

I think I am going to switch to a vegan lifestyle before I consider moving on to the fruitarian diet. That would probably make it a much safer transition and easier. I know that I can't jump into things like this (the fruitarian diet for i.e) without doing some research on it first and preparing myself for it. Otherwise it could injure my health. IP: Logged |

I did fruitarian for a while but I couldn't sustain it for long since i craved grounding foods such as nuts and seeds... wild greens, and superfoods.I ate 2-6kg of fruit per day in order to feel satisfied, and it is possible to feel full with fruit but it is impossible to over eat fruit. Eventually for our own superior health- we just have to get to a place where we feel comfortable with replacing bread, meat and cheese with wild herbs and greens & superfoods. They give you all what bread, meat and cheese does only you get about 100x more minerals, antioxidants, immune system support, life force ect... That's really "the deal" if we want to get to a place where we feel balanced on a 80% + fruit diet. IP: Logged |

Sun, it's good to eat nuts and seeds and some breads when your become a fruitarian, as well as beans...eating as much nuts, seeds and beans as you want & need. Mixing it up a little i.e. beans coupled with fruit and veggie pasta sauce to create a meal. Every meal needn't be 100% fruit. Some examples/pictures of fruitarian meals here: http://suvine.wordpress.com/fruitarian-meals/
