this may not be the appropriate forum for this question, but I figure some of you health conscious individuals might just know. I have old cooking oil (not used, just in the original container, sitting around getting rancid). I don't know how to dispose of it. I don't want to pour it into the toilet or down the sink for fear of messing up the plumbing. I hesitate to pour it into garbage bags... What do y'all do?

You should be able to give it to your garbage people to dispose of. Isn't there a place you can take things like oil from your car and old cans of paint to be disposed of properly?

I wouldn't pour it down the drain.
