1 month on raw superfoods, hardcore, like 100%, starting today! I'm blogging this on another forum, but thought I'd share my results and meals on here too for inspiration and/or curiosity.

22/09
breakfast
1 smoothie:

pau d'arco tea (water + two caps)
mango
banana
blueberries
raw honey
raw bee pollen
raw maca
raw spirulina
raw cacao powder
raw coconut oil
green probiotic superfood (raw and fermented)

felt ECSTATIC after breakfast!

Lunch
1 green smoothie:

1 avocado
wheatgrass
probiotic superfood
wild rocket
tomato
pumpkin seeds
lemon
olive oil
cayenne

Dinner
1 smoothie:

pau d'arco tea
strawberries
raw honey
raw bee pollen
raw maca
raw spirulina
raw cacao powder
raw coconut oil
green probiotic superfood (raw and fermented

In between meals:
Charged water (msm, salt crystals, lemon)
sundried raisins
goji berries
almonds
macadamias
oranges
apples
organic biodynamic yogurt

its really not for 1 month- its forever, but to set a one month challenge is motivating, that's the purpose.

with the superfood smoothies i blend everything with warm tea, at the moment i use pau d'arco. it tastes like a choclate "milk" shake only spunky!

The green smoothie is like a salad, blended, you can get more of the good stuff if you blend it, i dont mind chewing, i just love my blender right now

Yeah, I'd really be interested in knowing what kind of budget you'd need to be able to live off of that stuff too.

Not loaded...not nearly!

I am on a pension, and raising a 1 year old.
I just have a very discerning attitude when it comes to money. Most of the superfoods I get in bulk, $130 aus (total)... lasts two to three months, the cacao is bought bulk at health food shop, shopping at farmers markets is cheap, fruit growing anywhere is free, you get a sense for it after a while.
So much is available now, it was harder a few years ago now its so easy, health food shops have ordered stock I asked for and since has become a hit! Now its cheaper.

Add and subtract, add something good, remove a couple of bad things... then it kind of equals out. I found.

Thankyou for your inspiration!
I have been slowly making the transition to the raw foods over the last two weeks..
I myself am in NZ, and your price range means alot to me
One question- where do you stand on whey protein? i do alot of yoga and running and need a protein supplement, or some help from anyone who may know how i can sustain this on raw foods?? Please and thankyou!

I have found a great morning smoothie to be strawberries, pear, banana and honey

The best probiotic i found Tink is IN-LIVEN.
It contains organic & fermented spirulina, rolled ats, brown rice, wheat grain, peral barely, linseed, kidney beans, mung beans, adzuki beans, red lentils, chick peas, wheat grass, barley grass, alfalfa grass, beetroot, sweet potato, string beans, zuchini, cabbage, silverbeet, spinach, chinese cabbage, asparagus, broccli, malt liquid, molasses, saccharomyces Cerevisiae, Saccharomyces Boulardii, Lactobacillus, Acidophillus, Delbrueckii, Caseii, Bulgaricus, Causasicus, fermenti, plantarum, brevis, helveticus, leichmanni, lactis, bifidus, sporogenes.

Dina. I find protein from gojis and spirulina is far more bio available and powerful than whey. That's what i have found, personally.

Hey thanks for the earlier Pau D' Arco reminder. That herb is all over the place for women's uses, and Im wanting to pick some of that up for some health issues Ive had recently.

I have tried the raw foods but it got challenging with a kid who wants other foods, and I live in a temperate climate where my body type (that gets cold easily) enjoys warming spicy foods and potatoes, things like that.

I studied with a raw foodist who totally got me into it for a while.
Brigitte Mars, check her out she has some wonderful books, her raw foods cook book is so fun, its called Rawsome. I love the spirulina bars, made with coconut oil, pine nuts, and the rest I will have to look up. I will try to share that later.

I tell you after learning about it, I make sure to at least not eat so many cooked things, but rather enjoy them raw. I love romaine salads with olive oil and lemon. Now, Im a full on carnivore, not at all a vegan anymore which actually cleared up my skin.

I love the smoothie recipes, thank you for sharing!

Ok... Last night was funny. Had a friend come over with pizza and beer, and I didn't refuse it because it occured to me that life is all about balance, I mean, look at my week of foods! I enjoyed the pizza and beer, felt fantastic still, didn't get any adverse reactions like some raw foodists would freak out LOL. and I enjoyed it totally. I woke up craving cheese and bread (the after affects of pizza). So i just had my smoothie any way, and yum, it changed all that! I think the most spiritual balanced way to live is to never refuse someones food, I don't believe I would have the audacity to sit a family table eating superfood while everyone is eating a roast. I just wanted to be an example to raw foodists who make them selves feel guilty. Guilt isn't health.

Still going but I ate wheat and I think my body finds it intolerable now, even more so. :O Bloating, tiredness and feeling irritable in the digestive system. If I eat a 'normal meal' that someone cooks I instantly feel clogged - is it in my mind? or is it because i'm used to eating a lot of fibre and water with each superfood meal that bread & pasta feels like something foreign that I want to reject?

Stepping it up now, starting juice feast tomorrow...might post a few blogs, if i get the time. I'll at least post a few to show my program ect...
have to get a new juicer today so I can start- my old juicer is looking a bit tired and worn out.

You are a real inspiration, SunChild. And this
quote:

is, imo, a real gem. You're not just talking, you're living. Many blessings.

How's it going, SC?

I think i know your long lost twin sister btw. My mother. You two would be best friends.

How about acai berry juice? Do you add that into your mix? I tried it today for the first time and WHOA! What an awesome natural energetic high I had! I'm picking up some more tomorrow and doing a detox.

acai is yummy
they have frozen bags at the health food store that you can dump in a blender with other frozen berries/fruits and I add other fruit juices. I just use grocery juice like the new V-8 veggie/fruit mixes... I know I know processed but hey, I do what I can ... which brings me to my reason for posting...

Sunchild, you are awesome. I wish I could afford to hire you as my personal shopper/chef.

hey Tara ...its all going good. Still doing my course, haven't given up, pursuing it still even though I hardly have time for it. Living at my nan's with tahlea, I cook for them, and do chores they can't do. See tahleas father now and then, he has improved. Im so busy now with study and family...but i feel so whole at the moment. i also desperately want to get into elements for life.. It's a whole superfood fractal marketing program. Very awesome. I must get your email- i have about 3 email addresses and I dont think they are active?

acai is great... Ive had the juice, or shots of it, tastes very strong but I love the feeling i get from it.

MM, i would love to be a raw chef one day- once tahlea grows up

oh my god. Because I have been into 'feeling' a lot more, and less in the 'head'...i was concerned and wondering about what I have been sensing inside my body with the food i eat. I have felt the presence of the food i eat in each tract, like I know where my food is LOL... and i know exactly how my body is reacting to it. That is confusing ... but now, I know why. It is taste!! I just read this

quote:
Very few men indeed can still detect the taste of the various foodstuffs in their stomachs. You do still taste them in some of the other organs, but once the foodstuffs are in the stomach, then for most men it is all one what they are — although unconsciously the sense of taste does very clearly continue throughout the whole digestive tract. The entire man tastes what he eats, but the sensation very quickly dies down when what has been eaten has been given over to the body.
-lecture 1 man as a being of sense and perception. Steiner.

If I read this a few years ago I would have laughed. now I totally get that.
