Well, this evening I cooked a Tofurky dinner for my sister and her husband. They enjoyed it so much that they both made the decision to go vegetarian for a month. They both have been suffering some health problems for awhile now. My sister was told by her doctor that she had about ten years tops unless she did something to change her lifestyle and her eating habits. Has anyone else managed to overcome issues after a change in diet? I know that I had high blood pressure before I decided to give the vegetarian lifestyle a try. The blood pressure problem has since went away and I am now vegan. IP: Logged |

Welcome That's great news. Most health challenges respond well to a whole food/vegetarian approach. Good Stuff!!!! IP: Logged |

without knocking the health benefits of vegetarian cuisine, i would NOT go back to a doctor that said things like that. what a crock! he doesn't know how long she will live...but he CAN say changing some things will improve her overall health and remove some physical problems that might threaten her life (or quality of)...glad you were able to pull of the pitch though. most people's horizons are better when broadened... Thanks Katatonic. I agree. I don't believe that life-expectancy can be predicted accurately by anyone and shouldn't be. IP: Logged |
