I don't know too much about this but i do notice that the past 3 years, I have developed strong reactions to the music that is being released lately. I sometimes feel sick to my stomach, want to throw up, or feel really disgusted to the point i have to turn the music off. i don't if it has much to do with the music beats, the lyrics, or the voice. it may be from some of the hidden layers in the music. im not too sure. but these are my experiences with the latest music that i hear. I cant stand alicia keys new album, and that album causes those feelings. beyonce's music causes those feelings. and many other mainstream artists. I was thinking that maybe it has something to do with the technology, or they use certain frequencies in the music that make this happen maybe. i dont know. lol. I was wondering if other people have experienced this? and why does this happen? any input is greatly appreciated.

Yes I get that too. They are intrinsicly related. Since I was a very young child, electronic techno style music would make me feel sick. Now, a lot of dumb pop music forces the lower chakras to move but being aware of it makes me immune to it. I know what pop does to teenagers and it is sick. Any music that is not of the Soul life has adverse reactions to my emotions. You are probably just as sensitive as I am.

i am very sensitive. especially to music since it has been something of importance to me since birth. i began singing as soon as i learned how to talk so yea, music means that much to me. it just makes me upset sometimes because i have to hunt for good music now or go back into the older styles like stevie wonder classics, minnie riperton, or anything about love in a positive way or happiness.

Music - notes - frequencies - hertz - it's all natural, so the brain/body responds......

There are good frequencies and bad ones.

Im with sunchild. Most popular music and music you hear on the radio these days is useless to anyone with any intelligence or spirit. beduncey and alyshia keys are with the illuminati, not to mention they produce horrible, boring, simple music for simple people. There was a show on sci-fi one time about this music from another planet that sent signals to kids and turned them into aliens so that they could live on the changing density of the planet. I thought that was cool.

I usually prefer no music.
As to what has been said here:

I totally can relate.
Something is very wrong with much of it.
It sends very nasty disturbing vibrations.
affecting both the emotional and physical.
Ever notice that much of it vibrates at a rate same or similar as the Taos Hum, or the Hum, or the Montauk/Government mind/crowd control and deep underground radar/sonar experiments?
The lyrics are also often depressing or idiotic.
Also, for a few decades, I have noticed the effects of various forms of music on animals.

Yes, pop music has been declining in terms of quality since 2000... It's very sad. I've always wondered why media authorities prefer to air dumb music and neglect more talented musicians...

I'm curious... I'm wondering - Have I been desensitized, because I prefer dark lyrics to faking-party-happy ones, and a little dissonance always makes me happy... So I'm wondering if, to you, that constitutes "bad vibrations" like current pop songs too. Wondering if "bad vibrations" is a matter of taste or something else entirely... Do you think my favorite music is alright, or does it make you sick too?

Example:
Darklands
Burn and Fade
Low December Sun

This type of music doesn't make me sick - it does hypnotize me (dunno if it's bad, but I enjoy it).

Current commercial music makes me very impatient, I just have the urge to shut off the radio. I was at a friend's house last week, helping out - they played commercial music on TV so loud... All the songs have the same strident, self-righteous, whiney energy about them - I had to get out of the room to preserve my sanity...

And I remember one time, when I was riding with friends - there happened to be a Limp Bizkit CD in the car and none of us knew to whom it belonged, and the driver played it. Wow. I was so unhappy/disturbed the whole time, I kept complaining. I couldn't handle it. Usually I just shut up when bad music is playing (out of courtesy for other people who might genuinely appreciate the songs), but this Limp Bizkit experience was unbearable...

I always thought that the reason I disliked popular music is because I had different standards, with the piano lessons that I grew up with and my fondness for the non-superficial (Cancer Sun, Cap Moon, Scorpio Asc)... And because it's obvious that pop music is usually half-a$$3d. They don't really present the BEST musicians out there, only the mediocre.

The "vibrations" explanation really didn't occur to me until I read about it here. Of course it sounds very valid. But I'm wondering what makes up "bad vibrations" in music... The tones? The arrangement? The dynamics? Quality of message?...

Boom boxing thump thump bass on and off 24/7 stressing me out waking me up, and that b!tch doing it 10 to 15 feet from my bedroom and living room windows/walls. Earplugs do not work because the the low life scumbag is playing it so loud and bass up to maximum that our bed, walls, and floor vibrate and windows buzz and rattle. It feels like someone is banging on the floor and one can feel her noise in their feet. THUMP BOOM BOOM ARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!
Sorry, but been sick, and my husband struggling with seizures and we are supposed to both be avoiding noise and stress...but that scaggy %#@!/ is waking us even at night with dynamite like house shaking blasts of deep loud bass and then the revolting lyrics.
The noise ordinance is not enforced because people who do this listen to the police scanners and know when to turn it off before the police come. Also when folks call the police, these low life excuses for human beings, will vandalize yards, cars, shoot out windows and more. Same for their damn dogs running free. These morons have no respect for the space of others, and have even driven into and trenched and turfed our yard. The police are scared of them to boot.
Right now she is doing it and I cannot hold back the tears of anger and frustration despite taking meds to try to cope with the gut wrenching ear bombing crap she calls music. Boom boom boom each boom beat boom like a hard punch to the guts and forehead, headache, nauseated, stressed, even my cats are freaking out when she does this.........
later...must throw a fit, and try to calm my cats and mate before I go insane..........

yeah I think it's the electronically idealized voices and general ignorant outlook on life we don't share with the "composer" or rather the entity the song proposes is the composer but they're probably like us but just paying the mortgage targeting at the pop demographic. it makes us think life isnt like this, this ignorance is disgusting. And it is :P

Of course music is connected to emotions. We analyze the composers disposition at the time of writing. that's what art is.
