don't eat much ice cream these days but if i do i don't want any artificial sweeteners or fats in it!! however there is a great alternative where i live, coconut ice cream with dark chocolate coating, LESS sugar and LESS fat the natural way.i make it a point to avoid anything that is "enhanced" by modern methods like using aspartame instead of sugar and low fat milk which is also full of additives... was a time i would go through a half-pint of haagen daz in an evening, got over it tho!! So, Haagen Daz's "Five" line is bad because they only use the ingredients that were originally used to make ice cream, because of the cholesterol from the egg yolks, yet they are a-OK with all the additives and junk fillers other brands add to their "light" and "creamy" flavors, like artificial flavors, chemically produced high fructose corn syrup and chemically altered algae goo (carrageenan)? You know, if you eat a healthy diet otherwise and are active and at a health weight, a little egg yolk isn't going to hurt. If you're not any of those, then you really need to be skipping the ice cream until you are! IP: Logged |

Ummm no, that is not what they are saying at all. They said right at the top "there are no best bites" Ice Cream will never be healthy eating. *edit- every issue has a rating chart for different categorized items. In it the criteria for recommendations and a more healthy diet are called "best bites" IP: Logged |
