http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/568/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=4613 time for a little activism whatever your political bent...save our food supply. a news headline heard on the radio two days ago - i think it was in georgia - a private citizen was arrested for having "too many vegetables" growing in his OWN GARDEN... you can follow my drift i'm sure. the above link is about a bill that will criminalize real food and spreading info about it! Wow. I've heard about the possibility of this happening, but didn't know they were already doing it. IP: Logged |

okay sorry retraction time, the georgia guy was in violation of zoning for his neighbourhood, stupid but easily avoided. he has gone to court and had his zoning altered but still fighting the fines...zoning is such a weird thing, supposed to help like a lot of legal issues it creates some stupid headaches...a town in my area has zoning against painting your house too vivid a colour, has to be neutral. local artist was forced to undo his creatively painted exterior to suit the neighbours... the attempt to make farming impossibly difficult and regulate supplements as pharmaceuticals, etc, as in the link...still ongoing. if you don't want the govt telling you what to spray your plants with, etc, this is one thing to consider...
