Hormones, the Link Between Human & God: Article by Isaac From Nude Food.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The word hormone comes from the Greek word for "impetus", which is an impelling movement. Hormones are messengers. They are secreted by cells in glands, such as the thyroid, to be the impetus for other cells in the body to alter their metabolism.
On a body level, hormones control everything we experience - growth, mood, emotions, immunity, metabolism, reproduction, parenting, hunger, physical activity, bone density, activation of genes, etc. When a hormone and a cell find an affinity for each other, they lock proteins together, and the hormone is accepted as part of the cell. The cell then alters its function anywhere from a slight change in energy production, to dying. This is the power of hormones. On a whole body level we feel the effects of hormones to the same degree. Hormones provide the experiences we have when in love, meditation, joy, etc.
On a consciousness level, it is our thoughts which control our hormones. Most of us have some degree of programming regarding our thoughts. This programming initially was conceived outside of us, and then delivered in such a way as to seem like we created the thoughts, a concept well presented in the movie "Inception". Then we continue feeding the thoughts, making them ours. This affects our hormone production, which in turn controls our experience of life.
Why would we choose to attract such programming into our lives? For knowledge & experience. We are constantly in search of ever more deep and complex experience, for the inspiration to create on ever more expansive levels. I have come to realize there was never a time in our past when humanity was "perfect". We are in this seeming state of chaos because we chose to be, because the potential for growth and new experience was beyond comprehension.
Now we are becoming aware of why and how our experience of life is as it has been, and we might be choosing something different, depending on what the programming was. If the programming revolved around fear and lack, and we now find this state of being unacceptable in our lives and are ready for something new, we embark upon the greatest quest ever given to humankind - the adventure of self-realization. This is where I am, and I imagine you are too, since you are reading this.
Now, since we are beginning to consciously choose our experiences, we are finding any programming in opposition to our new choices. If our physiology is supportive of our new choices, transforming this programming to our benefit becomes easy. If our physiological responses to this programming are in agreement with the previous programming (which they have been trained to do), we might crash into despair and hopelessness. So as we change our thoughts, it is massively beneficial to cleanse and activate new functioning in our hormone (impetus for movement) systems.
Hormones are the great catalyst for the uptake and utilization of all superfoods and superherbs.
The first changes to make are to replace our intake of foods which suppress hormonal systems with foods that activate and detoxify our hormonal systems. Here are some possibilities:
* Replace rancid oils and fats in clear, plastic containers with cold pressed, raw oils in dark glass containers
* Replace soy products with coconut products or other raw, cold stored nuts and seeds
* Stop taking or reduce intake as much as possible: synthetic hormone substances such as birth control pills
* Replace water bottled in plastic with spring water stored in glass
* Stop taking or reduce intake as much as possible: cholesterol medications (cholesterol is vital – in balance – for proper hormone function, and is a precursor to progesterone and steroid hormones)
* Replace flax seeds with chia seeds (flax contains high levels of phytoestrogens)
We can begin by detoxifying the most strongly charged complex of glands in the body – the thyroid. The thyroid is a magnetic shield which attracts (and therefore protects us from) positively charged substances such as heavy metals, radioactive materials, plastics, petroleum byproducts, herbicides, pesticides, pollution, etc. These days, the thyroid is usually overwhelmed. Ways to cleanse the thyroid:
* Kelp
* MSM
* Coconut products
* DMSO
* Fulvic acid
* Zeolites
* Nascent Iodine
* Superherbs (see end of article)
We can also begin adding in thyroid activating substances to cause the thyroid and other glands to begin producing hormones in a healthy amount again, and provide hormone precursors. Some things which may do this:
* Coconut products
* Ashwagandha root
* Maca
* Deer/Elk Antler
* Goji Berries
* Other Superfood protein – chia, bee pollen, blue green algae, spirulina, etc.
* Tongkat Ali (herb)
* Chaste tree berry
Once hormones are being produced abundantly, the next step is to make sure they have a place to land on the cells. Cells have many receptors, but they may be clogged with “bad” estrogens – xenoestrogens (toxic estrogen mimickers like plastics and birth control pills) and phytoestrogens – which may be providing impetus to our cells to do things which are not in alignment with our new choices. So we require “bad” estrogen dissolvers to bump these things out and make way for our newly produced hormone power, such as:
* Lemon or lime peel
* Cruciferous vegetables like radishes, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, brussels sprout, mustard, etc.
* Passion flower (powder or tea)
* Sweating, rebounding/movement, infrared sauna, and niacin flushing can cause the release of toxic substances from fat cells
* Enzymes, specifically lipase, can cause the breakdown of fat, releasing trapped toxic substances
Our hormone systems are designed to work in a dynamic balance – with many hormones opposing others in order to keep them in check. When our hormones are all fully available and being optimally utilized by our cells, memory is fully activated, genius can show up, lean muscle is built, vitality and will power show up, on and on. Other important factors for hormone health:
* Water and unprocessed sea salt
* Chlorella, deer/elk antler, goji berries (provide growth factor or precursors)
* Fasting (turns on human growth hormone production)
* Meditation
* Clean diet abundant in raw foods
* Grounding
* Natural source B vitamins
* Vitamin C from superberries and cacao
* Cacao
* Astragalus extract
* Vitamin D
* Sun to skin contact
* Superherbs: Ginseng, Dong Quai, Angelica Root, Cistanche, Tribulus, Damiana
When our hormonal systems are activated and being utilized efficiently by our cells, our uptake of nutrients is dramatically increased. I have come to realize this is the reason for nutritional deficiency when the nutrition is actually in our bodies. If our cells and hormone systems are suppressed by our thoughts and actions, they are in a downward spiral of disease heading towards death.
If we reverse that spiral and begin experiencing vitality, abundance, joy, genius, love, we will have made a leap into a new realm of being. Our potential for creation will embody such a vaster scale than we have ever known or even thought possible. Even our choices will become more expansive, as we embody “infinite thinking” to ever greater degrees. Hormones truly are our link to the production of God within.
