I had a great massage earlier today at a place I hadn't been before. The therapist was very skillful despite her being just in her early 20s. I complimented her at the end of the session and although she politely thanked me (a reticent Cappie woman perhaps?), when I looked into her eyes, they were misty; she was really touched. Massage in my books is the best way to heal the body. At the same time, it's a very intimate thing because I personally feel the energy and aura of the therapist and if they are not well (or well-matched with mine), it can be the worst experience ever. It's no wonder a good massage helps the immune system and brings more restful sleep. I felt like a new person afterwards. Do you guys go for massages? I used to go more regularly. I love it. i love getting massages and i had it a few times in the past, but i cannot afford the service. i would love to get it regularly.at least there were times my ex-bfs were decent at giving massages. of course it didn't compare to professional massages, but it was nice. my current partner hates it i probably only got it once after i made him a very nice jacket and was stiff everywhere. Massage from bf's has always led to other things lol. I prefer professional massage for the joy of it and the healing effects; these people know what they're doing. It's normally very expensive too but I found this one was on a super special Xmas price and I couldn't resist. But you have to have the right therapist or you're screwed. I have had a woman twice my weight massaging me a few years back and OMG it felt like she was beating me up! IP: Logged |

hahaha, yea, a long time ago i got one from a friend who was a Chinese masseuse. it wasn't fun. but it's amazing, the moment he touched my back, he said "you drink too much coffee and not enough water". then i got a looong 90 minute massage from his then-GF. she was a *nice* masseuse and that was heavenly!! she cheated on him and they split though (totally unrelated anecdote). Lexxie, I hope you can try it! It can be heavenly when it's done from the right person. (In the States, I had free massages as part of my insurance policy.) This young masseuse I tried yesterday (for the first time) was very respectful, courteous, and attentive to my needs. A true professional. My Virgo SN and Virgo Pluto was very happy. I like the massage to be nurturing and gentle but also a bit firm to dissolve any knots. This combination is not always easy to achieve but she did it! But I also loved her energy. She was completely focused on the massage, quick and precise. Truly excellent. I just wrote to her director to congratulate her for the service I received from this young masseuse. I hope they treasure her because she is really good. IP: Logged |

Yeah, these damn Chinese are too wise! My best massage ever in Dublin was from a Thai woman. She was AMAZING. That massage was better than sex and that's big coming from a Scorpio Venus (I don't normally think anything is better than good sex)! LOL She did Thai oil massage. 90min. You go in a mess and you come out a new born person. IP: Logged |

Sigh no, cannot afford them and Medicare does not cover them, nor my chiropractic. (as is will have to have a charity pay my electric etc., so yeah, no money for massage that is certain) Maybe someday! IP: Logged |

If I meet anyone on here in person I will be sure to give them a massage. I give pretty amazing ones if I do say so myself They've helped my mom's shiatic problems for years and she has never seen a chiropracator. Your muscles will die and go to heaven IP: Logged |

I'm happy to offer massages too! I've been a therapist for nearly 4 years and love helping people become pain-relieved or pain-free. When LindaCon happens, sign me up for a space! My massage chair, table, and I will be there On a side note, I LOVE receiving them. Maybe it's the Earthiness in my chart, but it totally feels so grounding, and I soak it all in. There are few things more soothing in this world that a good scalp, foot, back or hand massage...those are the best areas to work for optimal bliss... IP: Logged |

^^ Nice! I find the combination of smells and touch very uplifting. I used to do regular aromatherapy massage with a very good massage therapist and it was really something. IP: Logged |
