I love my Neti Pot.I used to get 2-3 sinus infections a year - and my sinuses made me miserable a good deal besides that. My Neti Pot has changed that. I forgot its wonders for a while, and have spent today (working a half day at home) flushing all of the crap out of the holes in my head. Now, for the first time in two weeks, I don't have a headache IP: Logged |

I love my Neti Pot too! And the Neti Med bottle pressure washer! Would not know how to survive Winter and allergies/colds without them!

Wow, sounds weird. Going to look for one, as I do get sinus every now and then. Found this caution on Neti pots to consider: http://www.southerninjurylawyer.com/news/2011/12/20/louisiana-officials-warn-residents-not-to-use-tap-water-in-neti-pots/ IP: Logged |

Rather awful thought on what's in tap water! Ugh!! I won't take a chance when I get one. Probably use boiled water thats cooled down. IP: Logged |

I can't lie - it takes some getting used to. Once you have, though, it's quite pleasant.IP: Logged |

Supposedly the salt is supposed to kill germs. I think I will boil mine from hereon.Oh yes! It is weird at first but oh so VERY refreshing afterwards! Use as warm/hot as you can safely use, and banish most sinus headaches immediately!

The salt should not burn. Our bodies are ph balanced for saline. Be sure to use warm water and the correct amount of salt or the prepackaged saline powder for Neti Pot use. Plain water WILL HURT ouch! But saline should feel neutral and soothing.

Yep, shouldn't hurt. Be sure to look up the correct proportions for the amount of water you're using and use *non-iodized* salt.------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. Please excuse all outrageous typos and confusing auto-corrects. IP: Logged |

Thanks everyone. Ooooh, this is going to be a story of note. But, considering you all seem happy with this system, I'm ready to give it a go! Gulp..... (that's nerves, not me swallowing the concoction via neti Pot )IP: Logged |

I used one and it ran to my ear and I got an infection because it wouldn`t drain. Never again ------------------ Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. ~Rumi~ IP: Logged |

I do the rinse like 3 times and tilt all kinds of directions to make sure it is completely out because yeah, it sometimes, especially the pressure wash; will make my ears "pop". Sorry about your bad experience with it.{{{hugs}}}PS. I used to get Labyrinthitis often, but rarely since doing the neti pot.
