Ack, been over two years since I posted this.Something has been helping me for a week, but I've hardly been eating, so that may be it, as well (although that never stopped it before).
I take L-glutamine in water, as soon as I get up. I add it to the bottle, shake it up, and then drink it slowly, before I do anything else.
Then I make that kefir mixture that's been going around facebook, and eat that. I ended up adding more flax than I was supposed to, so I've eased up a bit, but I was sick the first two/three days with this.
Then I take a long shower.
Hot, sweet tea, with collagen hydrolysate added. They say the serving size is 2tbsp, but you need to start at something like 1/4 teaspoon, and build up. I'm currently at 1 tbsp a day, or 1 tbsp +1tsp. I add two teaspoons to my morning (or first mug of the day) tea, and then decide on how I'll take the rest from there. I added it to hot chocolate this morning.
Then, after that settles, I eat. That would normally have me being sick, if the tea hadn't already started that, but I've been lucky this week, and it settles. I haven't been eating much, and nothing spicy (I miss spicy food, but I didn't want to ruin the good days I've been having). Oh, I did have a couple of tacos on Monday night, now that I think of it, and didn't get sick, but I usually go overboard with hot sauce.
then I have more tea, with more CH added. I have two or three mugs of tea a day/night, depending on how much I need or want. I probably should have herbal tea, but they mess with my stomach - just about everything does - and I also need the sugar from the tea, thanks to all of this getting sick. That's a small upside to this disgusting illness - no pressure to give up sugar.
I'm afraid that it might start up again, but it's been a nice week, of feeling normal-ish.
L-glutamine - 4g in the morning
collagen hydrolysate - build up slowly
Smoothies with l-glutamine added, help, as well. I should be taking at least 10g a day.
I'm also supposed to try L-carnitine and co-q10, but I can't afford them.
