A Virgo health fanatical massage therapist told me that ALL produce is irradiated to stop mold etc--even organic
The only way to avoid this is to shop at farmers markets or grow your own. What do you all think?------------------

I heard that too. Don't think it happens here in Australia as much.Or I might be wrong. In the David Wolfe lecture I went to he says everything is irradiated. We plan to grow our own as much as possible. We came home with plums months ago, seems they are immortal, the ones left behind have not changed in appearance, or rotted or grown mould. Really bizzare, GMO? Irradiated? It's like junk fruit. I hate supermarkets. IP: Logged |

YES I am so glad you answered Sun Child. The guy who told me is more of a health nut than I am and that is saying a lot. Grrr---even organic produce is irradiated. makes me feel so discouraged but I guess one needs to find a farmers market as why bother eben eating raw if they have mutated it  ------------------

You know, in Israel the people are so strong and healthy looking. The food is absolutely delicious. The government values each and every person a there are a finite number of Jews.A tree is planted for each Jewish person who is born. The government is not perfect as none is but their regard for their citizens is such that life is not expendable as it seems to be in MANY, MANY countries. This irradiation thing is an incredible bummer!------------------

Was just talking to my friend who runs a raw store and restaurant. He says most organic is not irradiated. Maybe, he doesn't know.What do you think Sun Child?------------------

I dont think we will ever know, really, where store bought food comes from or how it gets here, even farmers markets...I do know that my grandma lived to 94 and my grandpa still alive approaching 90 living off their garden grown goodies and fish from the lake. However, grandpa always watered from the lake, set up his own irrigation system, but even then the fertilizer from the farmers lands in Indiana ran into the lake...so, with our polluted environs, is really anything "safe?"
