I don't know what to think, and my body is acting funny...brownish discharge and a few very mild cramps, but no period yet. I used to be an extremely regular 30 day cycle before I was in a car accident about 5.5 months ago, then my cycle went to 35 days for two cycles, then the last two have been 29-31 days. By those calculations, this one should have started Saturday or Sunday at the latest..I have been reading obsessively and all it says it that I'm either pregnant, delayed period due to stress (we did move into our first home this past month), or vaginal infection. The spotting only started about some vigorous "fun" on Saturday afternoon, and barely marks (dime sized) on my underclothing these past couple days.

BTW, I do have other symptoms: exhaustion, sensitive and painful n***les, sick to stomach feeling a number of times, light-headed (worse than usual hypoglycemia effects).

I will try taking some kind of hpt today, but no matter what, I feel weird cause I've NEVER had this symptom before, and after 14 years, I know my body well...Any other ladies been through this and what was your result?

How old are you?

Yes, it is quite normal for a period to go catywonkas for no apparant reason.

Dark brown is old blood, so it means you are bleeding, or were.

The older you get the more apt you are to experience strange periods, no matter if you have been regular your entire life.

I am guessing you are in your 20's mentioning that you have been in mensus for 14 years?

The body is a finely tuned thing, but not an exact science.

If you are worried about being pregnant take a test to ease the mind. But dont worry unless it persists, then see a doc.

How are you doing now Kat?

A baby VAA would be wonderful

Thank you for responding, my lively Knowflakes.

I did get my period finally later the day I posted, and it came on like a ton a bricks I was cramping pretty bad, but after the first 36 hours, it seemed to let up a bit.

Yes, hippichick, I am 26, and I hadn't heard that periods get less predictable with age...good to know, as it's the opposite of what I would have thought.

juni, thanks for checking in, dear friend, and I agree a baby VAA would be a blessing, and this last little episode opened up a clearer line of communication with the hubby, and we will be working toward a baby in earnest this month We'll assume I'm like the "typical" woman who is most fertile mid-cycle, until proven otherwise. My mother had irregular periods, and didn't realize she was pregnant with me until several months along, so I have no one to compare notes with. Once I know for sure we are on that path, I'll be shouting it from the highest rooftops, at least here in LL
