What happens frequently is that 'orphan' drugs, drugs without a patent, old drugs-- have a minimal profit margin.

If it will not be profitable to produce, who will pay for the funding for studies and clinical trials?

But seriously, for decades people have thought that there would never be a *cure* for cancer in their lifetimes because it is far too profitable.
I will stay tuned for this one, it sounds very promising....I also heart the fact that the Canadians are sure to find a way for the clinical trials.
