I am in the process of working with a spiritual teacher who is helping me clear the negative energy from my body, mind, and soul and build up a balanced, healthy chakras. During this fast process, she helps me meditate and concentrate on specific events (traumatizing situations I never healed from) and personal ideologies (like my ambitions and perceptions of happiness). Anyways, this negative energy is so embedded within myself that I'm almost completely numb. I'm used to be an outsider/loner, but I feel totally exhausted from life and of course general doctors, even homeopathic doctors can't help me (my nutrient intake is good, my blood work comes back with flying colors and so on. I'm concerned that when I'm done working with this teacher, that my dubious ways (closed heart, stress, and constant disappointment) will once again take over my life. Any suggestions for a woman on the go who wants to keep her positive energy up? By the way I own SIX large hunza tubes (made by the purple plate company) in my home and one in my car and one at the office and yet I still feel drained. Suggestions anyone?

Moderation in everything, is my suggestion.

A family member of mine went on a fasting retreat to Costa Rica with a well known Raw Foodist Guru and she came back in horrifying shape. She was out of it -babbling, mind gone, in another world, gaunt and looked like she was dying. It was very scary.

Just incorporate more healthy foods into your life and keep your mind positive. Don't go to extremes. Keep it simple. Life does not have to be so complicated, strict or hard. Be wary of new age gimmicks and those claiming to have all of the answers - especially if "all of the answers" involve ONLY your diet , or changing it. If what you shove into your mouth is of utmost importance and takes precedence over everything else, beware . That's only a small part of the equation..

Any suggestions for a woman on the go who wants to keep her positive energy up?

I'm not so much into fasting but I do know how to generate energy (even when I feel like it's impossible.)

Whenever I get to the exhausted phase which can happen with a busy lifestyle (happened recently) I often find one of the five basics is not in balance. 1.food. 2. sleep. 3. hydration 4.exercise 5.grounding.

You can have the best superfoods, the best crystals and ionisers by your side but if one of the five basics are lacking then I find the culprit. Like well oiled cogs in a machine; good ten hours of sleep, balanced food, 2-3 litres of water and something simple as Tai Chi, stretching or a little aerobic can get the cogs spinning energy once again.
Looking at it from a bigger picture perspective it's often really simple.

Sometimes fasting when one of these aren't in balance can make things worse. Being in a good position to fast is important. It can wipe the slate clean so I hope you have a good Teacher.

Whenever I get the wheels turning and pouring out energy it's good to have a little motivation or extra support, I like to listen to tapes or read inspiration just for that push if my days seem to be the same everyday. Energy generates more energy. Like something as simple as a drop of inspiration can do it. The intricate balance of chemicals and hormones in our bodies can make or break our moods, energy and motivation. It can be so simple and obvious to fix that people forget that we can take care of that ourselves by keeping it mighty simple.

As for the grounding, sitting with bare feet in the earth for just a few minutes a day reduces inflammation and normalises a lot of functions in the body. http://getlongevitynow.com/bare-your-feet-grounding-video/

I talk from experience and I have been able to generate superhuman energy powers in the most no brainer, no fancy or gimmicky, complex or mysterious ways.

With most puzzles in life, look to nature, and follow her.
Best of Luck.

Also, don't forget self-love. You sound like maybe you worry and over-think too much?

I've noticed that gratitude helps a lot. I recently read a very cute children's book. Cute and poignant.

Pollyanna

You may have read it as a child.

It's all about the "Glad game" that you play in your life. Find things to be glad about. Teach that to others. Soon enough, your life will be filled with joy.

This is an example of "fake it til you make it"

Good luck, orangesRdelicious.

I find it really amazing how you all instantly felt a sense of urgency or i dunno, maybe a controlling or pushy energy from me (that's my negative energy y'all). it is true that i am uptight. i never really knew it until recently though. it's really hard to "drop" the stress/tension, but i know that this will be the most important part of my rejuvenation/healing process. I will definitely try to keep it simple and pratical. I know I need to learn how to relax too. Yin, I don't love myself, but I now know that I want to. I guess I'll take it one step at a time and eat a lot of oranges cuz they are SO GOOOD! ;-)
