Yea me the RN is beggin for help with the flu.

I am pretty sure my almost 21 year old heart patient daughter has it.

Has all the symptoms, and IF I wern't both clinically and intuitively sure it is "the flu" then she would be off to the clinic for antibiotics..

However...

She is feeling so crappy. Fever that just wont break, Advil works great and makes her feel better, but I had her sweat it out last night, trying to burn out the bug, but this is one relentless bug!

Dry cough, body aches...

Typical flu.

Any advice on homeopathic, natural remidies?

She is my heart kid and she is suffering and I am pretty sure even IF I do take her to be seen that there is nothing to do.

By the way, I put her on some penacillin she had leftover, just to protect her heart, and she still has fever so I am pretty sure it is viral...tada...the FLU>

Thanks in advance!!!

terri~

The ginger helps with nausea and the tea pushes fluids.

having the flu a year or two ago got me into elderberries.

I was pretty much better within two days.

I know they make, tablets, capsels, juice, tea, (and wine haha)

I've read good reviews about GSE - a natural antibiotic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grape_seed_extract

Yes she is, slowly..the fever has gone its longest now 8 hours and she is feeling better altogether, a week later!

But still quite knocked down.

My mom got the flu shot (which I was forced to but am kind of wondering if it was for a reason..now) and she got it anyway. She is hanging on longer..

I am drained, nursing on the phone with my mother, taking care of my daughter...

Tomorrow my patients...

Tis all, good!

That is ME!

Thanks for asking, Randall~

do you have a zapper? or a derma wand (yes the beauty product!) zappers can be home made, cost a lot, cost a little- Indian Maid products have them for 35$.
little pulses of electricity-kills parasites ala Hulda Clark (very expensive) Don Croft (135$) Indian Maid 35$
i do not know what a dema wand costs but they all work.

Have you tried oscillococcinum, hippi? It's a natural remedy that can help relieve flu symptoms, so may help her feel better while she recovers:

Hope she feels better soon!

Hope your daughter recovers soon.{{{hugs}}}
I know how scary it can be.
My son had heart problems and had to be on continuous antibiotics for years.
Even with that he still had a heart attack at age 16.
He is OK now but must still be careful of any infections that could go to his heart.
And like myself;
antibiotics required before any dental work.

I will NEVER in my LIFE get a flu shot (last one was around grade-school age) again!

On a daily basis, I use Astaxanthin (potent antioxidant), Alive muli-vitamins, and I take a High Butter oil/Cod Liver oil capsule. I brew my own kombucha for probiotics and other goodies.

If I am/were ever feeling under the weather, I'd brew an echinacea/elderberry tea, and take zinc and extra vitamin C. I'd also drink kombucha and take some astragalus. I'd also stay away from wheat and dairy, and consume lean protein, green leafy veggies, and fruit.
