Who uses them? Who has tried them? Who has heard of them?I just started getting into them. "Binaural beats reportedly influence the brain in more subtle ways through the entrainment of brainwaves[3][8][9] and have been claimed to reduce anxiety[10] and to provide other health benefits such as control over pain." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_beats different names for different Hz 40 Hz Gamma waves: Higher mental activity, including perception, problem solving, fear, and consciousness 13–39 Hz Beta waves: Active, busy or anxious thinking and active concentration, arousal, cognition, and or paranoia 7–13 Hz Alpha waves: Relaxation (while awake), pre-sleep and pre-wake drowsiness, REM sleep, Dreams 8–12 Hz Mu waves: Sensorimotor rhythm 4–7 Hz Theta waves: deep meditation/relaxation, NREM sleep 4 Hz Delta waves: Deep dreamless sleep, loss of body awareness Here are some samples This one is said to be good for pain releif and is 0.5Hz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyNc_v4b91g This one is said to have 10Hz with 18Hz - Significant improvements in memory, reading & spelling. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_Zp4OhNC78 Oh yeah you will need a good pair of headphones IP: Logged |

I have used them in the past when I needed to do some cram studying, they have helped. I primarily used I-doser binaural beats. IP: Logged |

Thanks, ail! I played the memory improvement one to my bf and he HATED it. He left the room, he couldn't listen to it. He's a musician and I wonder if that has anything to do with it.IP: Logged |

Yeah they aren't exactly pleasant sounds because of the frequency but with proper headphones they work. I have consistently used brain+HQ(for studying_, lucid dreaming, pheromone and french roast. IP: Logged |

Oh yeah I can definitely see not everyone being into it. Just listening to the same sound/tone/note for a period of time. But it's more for healing than entertainment. But who knows maybe someone finds it entertaining. HAHA! But they do make some buraural beats with some added music like these. Perceptual Elements ( Alpha binaural beats) illume in essence http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvXbe1nLuSM ^This one has bit light techno flavor to it. This one is said to be good for "effortless relaxation and deep healing" Great Expanse (Delta binaural beats) Unisonic Ascension http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLq3DYXpAm8 ^This one is very subtle, sleepy, whitenoisy, and eerie. Dream Seeding (5 Hz Theta binaural beats ) music tuned to 528 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irzDKzALjoQ ^This one is a soothing sounding one, with piano and subtle techno IP: Logged |

Hi Stawr,I am little bit familiar with them I think Hemi-Sync has the best products out there. They helped me with insomnia, it really works, and like you said you need a good pair of headphones. A few years ago someone took my hemi-sync cd…☹ I have tried others but Hemi-sync feels like they are the master in this area. They have a few which you can listen to for free http://www.monroeinstitute.org/resources/downloads Hecate

Hi Stawr... I listened to your urls (only 1 to 2 minutes of each). Thankyou! I liked the 'Perceptual' alpha one best. The middle was scary. The last was a little strange. IP: Logged |
