I've heard fish oil capsules will prevent them.

But it won't stop one in progress. Omega fatty acids, I mean. Not necessarily fish oil only.

Melatonin also helps reduce frequency and intensity or prevent migraines

Since I'm an herbalist and have had migraines off-and-on for most of the last 20 years I can tell you authoritatively Fenugreek is NOT a good migraine remedy. This thread was the first time I'd ever heard the idea.

Fenugreek is a warming yang tonic that acts particularly well on tough mucus in the respiratory system. Using it with a migraine could easily make it worse. Just google the idea and look at what comes up on the first page. Herbs have to be cooling in nature to relive migraines, which are a heated condition transferred usually from a congested liver or sudden heat there flaring up through the vascular system before it can be cleared, causing heat/blood congestion in the head where it becomes trapped.

Herbs for migraines or headaches in general:
- Feverfew
- California Poppy
- Poppy seeds
- Chinese liver regulation formulas

There are herbs that are vaso-depressants or vaso-constrictors, but are not appropriate for many conditions or for regular use, so I will not list them here.

The Edgar Cayce radial appliance can be used to relieve the pressures of imbalance through its magnetic pull on the body's polarized electrical flow, which in turn eases congested circulation.

Super, super happy I just saw this. Definitely beats that sphenopalatine nerve block the doctors made me try. That sucked.
