Thanks to Faith, I have discovered this!

Researched it and now I use it on almost everything!!

It is good tasting and seems to be so, so healthy for the body.

Funny, tho, as Faith warned me, I find my plastic ware stained and my dishwater greenish...

But I think for all thinking about general health, it is worth looking into!

I throw some into a veggie broth and drink it in a mug- I put a teaspoon of it in just before serving ( I like it strong)- otherwise everything is tainted yellow. lol

She says in her country, they use it all of the time for everything!

I want to find some root.

Does turmeric taste like mud or is it just me? It's my least fave spice when I'm making Indian food. Orange mud.

It seems with tumeric it is love or hate...

I believe it is the basis for Indian Curry, which I love also!

Guh, I've tried to like curry...I've really, really tried...but I just don't.

So, I should pass on tumeric, then?

Try the spice Garam Masala. It's the base for making an Indian curry. If you hate it, then that's your answer. It has curry and turmeric in it. Oddly enough, I don't hate the turmeric in it, but then again I do love Indian food.

Turmeric is of the ginger family.
Hmm, now I'm thinking that maybe I should try fresh turmeric since my love for ginger exploded when I switched from ground ginger to fresh one.
