"All disease begins in the gut."
-Hippocrates

"The primary seat of insanity generally is in the region of the stomach and intestines."
-Philipe Pinel: father of modern psychiatry

Yes, it sounds too good to be true, but there's a reason we don't know what causes these disorders. It's flora imbalance, and it can't be diagnosed with western medicine, nor will most doctors treat it despite Dr. Truss's reversing schizophrenia by treating candidiasis back in the 1970's. Consuming antibiotics (via meat as well), taking the birth control pill, having an impaired immune system from pregnancy, bottle feeding, corticosteroids, stress, poor diet consisting of heavy carbs, sugar, and yeasty foods such as beer or cheese, infection, old age, pollution, radiation, chronic use of pain killers or pharmaceutical drugs, and dental work all compromise gut flora. Due to the immune's system being overburdened by antigenic byproducts of imbalance and Candida's immune response inhibitors, rarely are flora imbalances corrected and they frequently get worse generation after generation. To further complicate matters, you can get flora imbalance from your partner through intercourse.

This woman has been curing these diseases for a while now, and her book is not available in the states. These disorders are related to flora imbalances and fueled by our Western lifestyle (moreso for Americans).

There are too many disorders to list that are related, anxiety, multiple sclerosis, ocd, allergies, food intolerances (make one forgetful and super emotional/irritable), migraines, learning disabilities, celiac disease, dyslexia, acne, dyspraxia (clumsiness), epileptic seizures, bipolar disorder, bed wetting, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, psychosis, substance abuse, depression, impaired social skills and perception, eczema, psoriasis, touch and light sensitivity, rheumatoid arthritis, type 1 diabetes, asthma, and lupus.

Don't believe it? Check the reviews:

As a side note, and sunchild will hate this book, tooth decay can be reversed, and our 18 year molars were designed to fit in our jaw eating a proper diet.

Edit, other links to consider on happiness, anxiety, panic attacks, and mental illness concerning gut flora:

And kefir does etymologically derive from a turkish word for happy. Not surprisingly, the L Rhamnosus strain found in it is implicated in happiness!

Interesting. I have 15 strain probiotic tablets I usually take most days (been forgetting lately) to help my immune system as I am around a lot of people in my job (health care worker) plus I eat live yoghurt regularly. Do you think this would suffice? (As well as trying to avoid the junk food).

It depends. Most strains are just maintenance doses, and some are already dead as bifudo and acidophilus like to kill each other off. For treatment purposes much larger doses are required. I've found the most significant candida die off with Raw Natural's Vaginal Care which is designed to combat yeast infections. The die off was in many different parts of my body (rashes and eczema are symtpoms antigenic release), and it would work for a male. It has 85 million I believe.

My general understanding is you can't cure candidiasis with probiotics alone, nor can you cure it just with the diet. The diet is very strict and they vary, but I haven't got to the treatment part of Dr. Campbell's book yet, just the science part.

In the four other treatment books I've read on curing candida, it takes many months of a diet that makes veganism look like a cake walk, supplementation, subsequent chelation, and no cheating to cure it. For a really good therapy it takes three months, but some struggle with it for many many years especially when their strain becomes immune or very hearty. Kefir and cod liver oil are very big parts of Dr. Campbell's therapy, but it's a two year treatment for broad-spectrum flora imbalnce. Hers is by far the most effective, and short of Dr. Orian reversing mild Schizophrenia back in the 1970's treating candida, she's the only one who reverses the severe conditions.

People compare curing candidiasis to being the equivalent of finishing a marathon.

The official directory of practitioners of Dr. Campbell's treatment is to be found here:

Edit: Also Ltt, flora imbalance makes you insecure for no reason. It sounds like that is your problem. The only nerve between the enteric nervous system in your gut, and your brain is your vagal nerve, and people have surgeries to stimulate that and garner an anti-depressant effect.

One of the first things you learn,
when you begin to research alternative health,
is that detox starts with cleaning the colon.

Definitely look into colon hydrotherapy.

I hate to disagree with you, because I actually kind of like you in a certain way. Most of the time, it is safe, but there have been deaths and lives literally ruined over that therapy because it does mess with the delicate flora balance.

Flora in the intestines is designed to deal with and prevent absorption of toxins, and faecal compaction will not happen if they are in proper balance. I would do psyllium husks and bentonite clay first along with a therapeutic probiotic for cleansing. Bowel cleansing itself is a routine part of Candida treatment.
