This video got me teary-eyed, I love story, the music, & how you can see the woman growing happier and happier: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXi0jpvxWjs One of the greatest gifts I have received from at LindaLand is, I've gotten to think more about raw food. I'm especially grateful to Xiiro, a fruitarian, and SunChild for making me more aware of it. I'm on Day 3 of the Master Cleanse (Day 5 of a liquid/juice fast) and feeling mostly fantastic, apart from some detox symptoms. Really looking forward to eating mostly raw food when I am done fasting. I feel more calm, centered, and peaceful than I ever remember feeling before. It's just amazing. Those of you who eat a lot of raw foods probably know what I'm talking about! IP: Logged |

Good job!I did the Master Cleanse for 11 days (don't ask me how!) many years ago. It was rough. I think I could (should) do a couple of days every few months, but would not go for that long again. How long are you going to fast for? IP: Logged |

Thank you, T!So you made it 11 days? Admirable! Did it cure or heal any issues for you? I'm aiming for ten days on the MC plus two day juice diet ease out...and would consider going longer...but my timing is bad, I have something else scheduled at the end of the month, and don't want to be fasting then. Edit: I might quit early if I lose too much weight.

At the time, I did not have health issues, I did it for the health of it! It's something I always wanted to do and figured my system could use a nice cleanse like that. It did kick start me on an even healthier path than I was on, which was good. Glad to hear you are feeling great. Keep us posted on your progress/experiences! IP: Logged |

I'm looking forward to doing this once Z's weaned - I don't want to detox while breastfeeding ------------------ If I've included this sig, it's because I'm posting from a mobile device. Please excuse all outrageous typos and confusing auto-corrects. IP: Logged |

@TThat's what I was hoping for, that I would get more clarity about what my diet should be like in general. I think I will try an almost totally raw diet for a while after this. Will keep everyone posted! Not too graphically. @mockingbird Sigh...I miss having babies! (Not enough to have another, though. ) I think my eating over the past, hmm...14 years...has been largely dictated by pregnancy and nursing demands, so it's nice to try something new. I like this cleanse very much so far. Let us know if you try it! IP: Logged |

I made it through day 7, quit on the morning of Day 8. Then I had to do ease out, so I went 10 days of liquid diet...That was misery for me, especially at the end of the day. Other people on the Master Cleanse forum I was participating in were handling it much better. But I think it has to do with my starting weight. I am underweight. Now I'm eating mostly raw...so far so good. I really didn't think I could do this but I do feel better in so many ways, I'm willing to stick with it. Even though it's hit or miss for figuring out my portion sizes and the food combining I'm trying out. So I end up ravenously, desperately hungry at least once a day. Not supposing anyone cares but just to finish the story I began here. IP: Logged |
