Ok, I give....these big, ol Texas skeetas have become immune to my citronella candles and I loathe using Off...I have now taken up sitting outside, which I love to do with my Benedryl Itch Stick... Need a natural method they are not immune to! IP: Logged |

This is my plight too. My friend told me to get a dryer sheet and pin it to my clothes. They hate this. I am going to get some today.I put on a turtleneck and two layers of pants when I go into my garden. I look like a freak but what the heck ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Garlic keeps away vampires, so maybe it will repel other bloodsuckers, too. IP: Logged |

Need help with mosquitoes. I looked up help with essential oils and found that they hate peppermint so I am gonna cover my clothes with it and see what happens. I have to wear 2 layers when I go in my garden. If you have light clothes, they will bite you through your clothes. They will get any bit of hand or foot exposed too ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Long time ago a friend and I tried increasing garlic (capsule supplements)... ugh. Burping up garlic and definitely not smelling good to even ourselves! With pets you can supplement their diet with brewer's yeast... but oooooh, the farts just 'hangggg'--- I'm not kidding! There are flowers you can plant around your garden.... Aren't marigolds good at repelling the mosquitos? IP: Logged |

Yesterday, I dressed in my usual attired to go into the garden--two layers of black turtle necks with two layers of black pants lathered with peppermint oil. I left a bit of heel exposed because I had on orange garden clogs. They bit my heel Today, I am going to do the black layers and layer them with peppermint oil and put on socks under my clogs. LOL They will bite ANY skin not layered by 2 layers of clothes. If any of my back is exposed like bending down, they bite the small of it and it is not like Kevin Costner in Bull Durham

Yes I went to a lake house for a week...and with the wind the mosquito were not a problem. The huge spider in my room...that's another story I tried to kill that spider with a towel, but it jumped away and I had 3 huge bugs bites the next morning.
