The Gulf of Mexico has the BP oil spill. People are finding out that the Pacific Ocean has fish with radiation (thank you Japan). There is a new salmon that will be on the market that is genetically modified. THe larger the fish the more mercury.

Farm fish, deep sea fish???

How do you know what fish is ok to eat? Do I just give it up? I buy a fish oil that checks for everything. WHere do you buy your fish?

Man, I've been wondering the same thing. I live in the Pacific Northwest, so we won't be buying our fish locally, I guess. My husband has considered just going fishing in the rivers around here, as he's fairly good at it, but I don't know when the start/end of the season is.

I have no idea, honestly. It's terribly tragic, but I've wondered the same thing.

I'll be following this thread to see if anyone has any input; sorry I can't be of help.

Thank you Violets I am really excited for the Pisces or Aquarius

I am thinking I may just stay with the Carlson Fish oil that I take. It is too expensive to shop for fish at whole foods.

Let us know how the fishing goes for you

Okay, will do!
I buy the Carlson fish oil as well, and it does seem to be one of the purest. Best wishes to you and your little person, how exciting!

My daughter used to work at a very upscale seafood restaurant.

The world renowned chef,, was absolutely crazy about checking swordfish for worms, and he showed my daughter how to check other fish for worms.

He said it is very common.

But I like white fish, not so obvioius...

I made ceviche once, and it was amazing! I used orange rought and shrimp, bought it from our local chain grocers, who is big and I trust.

But probably wont make it home made again.

Sushi, fish, anything is probably OK as long as we get it from a reputible establishment.
