Does anyone recommend any good brands? I really don't wear too much make-up. I just use a pencil eyeliner. Or if anyone has a DIY eyeliner recipe?

Jeez, I wish. I hope you get some responses on this one. I've had to resort to either just wearing the stupid makeup (branded as "natural", but not really), or making my own, which isn't as attractive or precise.

No luck so far with eyeliner or mascara (I tried mixing some vitamin E oil with activated charcoal, but it came out really runny...could be worth a shot, though).

I made some facial powder with arrowroot powder, cinnamon, and unsweetened cocoa, and it turned out okay. I add a bit of jojoba oil to it for a foundation.

I'm going to try mixing some beeswax, shea butter, and natural coloring (like dried beet root powder) to make some lipstick/lip gloss, but I haven't done it yet.

Good luck to you!

Yes, I wear Bare minerals and love it. You can get other brands of mineral make up too. It is pretty much all I wear.

Bare Minerals is great....also i found this company http://www.100percentpure.eu/

a while ago. not sure about their eyeliner as you'll need a brush for it, but the mascara was great when i used it.

not sure about organic, but really good advise whatever eyeliner you use, make sure it is made in Germany, as that's about the only country that super duper tests them to make sure nothing wrong could happen with them.

to strenghthen your eyelashes though, use castor oil...but be very careful, as it is an oil near the eye end of the day.

apparently rice powder is a great face powder and to combat pimples.

hmm lipgloss, cocoa butter melted and mixed with whatever you like would do a great gloss/balm.
Mix a teeny tiny bit of vitamin E with beetroot as has been suggested, or for fun, melt some chocolate chips with it, and you'll have an interesting gloss.

but yeah prefer companies such usually they have to test their products before putting it on the market with something like eyeliner or mascara.

also read you are pregnant so congratulations, and good for you for trying to do the best possible for your health

Ok I tried organic shampoo and it gave me the crrepps. Why? cuz they don't wash as well as just normal pantene. And the conditioners dont contain silicones that give my hair the structure it needs. I am put off by organic conditioners cuz of the sticky feeling I get after using them, and how they make my hair lifeless and swaggy.

As for facial cosmetics, I try to use plant based oils and also beeswax etc.

I think the best way to save the earth is to use up what you have. Cuz they are pretty much unfinishable.

depends on the brand. I think Lush and The body shop are somewhere in between commercial and natural, and never had a problem with them.

found this organic brand to www.ikove.com and the stuff smelt funny (in an age where we expect fruity to mean sickeningly sweet, not 'natural') but not in a bad way. and it worked well.

Pantene is good only if you rotate it with other brands, otherwise it's great for your hair now....because it is basically coating it with plastic, and it'll make it look great but fall off sooner rather than later. (A few biochemist best friends here, i keep them mostly to hear all these things from them and 'report back'....and just sometimes about medicines )

Hi, I was curious as well. This seems to be the most natural and transparent company for mineral makeup (they list their ingredients, and are free of parabens and chemicals).

I think I'll be checking into this line, as it sounds really promising.

<Edit> Um, yeah I suppose I should probably include the link. http://www.alimapure.com/pages/ingredients
